what really struck me yesterday was that the inmates gave the def. atty an opportunity to really hammer the fact that they brag in prison and that sometimes the biggest braggerts have not done what they lay claim to. She 100% missed even though the witnesses pretty much said it for her.

Totally agree with this! Defense was highly inept here. She could have circled it around to punch her point stronger. I admit this to me would have been a highly experienced attorney to pull the better punch with every question phrased just right to do it. But it could have been done. And I guarantee none of the questions, if done right, would have ended in, "didn't he"?

The defense atty certainly has my sympathy. She is tasked with trying to defend this man who I believe clearly did it, and she has little to work with. But she's seemingly so bad, I can't help but think we will have an 'Elle Woods' moment from Legally Blond that blows the case up and ZA walks. :dunno:

About anyone can get my sympathy, so she gets it from me. If the tone of her voice were not so grating I would probably want to hug her.

I don't have much sympathy given there have been so many chances (they are obvious) to create some doubt on behalf of her client and she has taken up on very few. She has experience. If I were Zach and his pawpa (or whatever they call him) I would not be happy with the case so far.
