Hey Teh why are we looking at this cabin? I spotted this cabin last week but figured it was so far from the last search it wasn't useful. Now I'm intrigued.

Press just released that the new search site today is at the intersection of Dudley Shoals and Burns rd @ the original site Elisa took them to. I am 1/2 mile away and am going to try to go there to get some photos on my lunch break. Can't make any promises since I didnt get any shots last night of drag strip rd before it got dark. I think with them searching this area...also check out charlie little rd. and on up dudley rd a little. Got some acquantances that work at a factory right at this site and am gonna call them later to see if they have any new updates. This is the site they were supposedly in canoes at under the bridge.

It does sort of appear that there's a dirt road leading to that house/property on Cove Mountain Ln. So maybe the cabin and house are one parcel? Just an idea.

Just want to speak out again and say how impressed I am with the group that is out there searching. This search has been going on for a month now and while they are exhausted, they are still going strong. And to the family members of the searchers, thank you for giving your loved one up for the last month so they can keep pressing on. I know it's hard on you too, but they are doing a wonderful thing.

I woke up feeling that we are close. I sooo hope that is true. I hope that this sweet angel can be laid to rest and I hope that all those who have so diligently searched for her can get some rest, find peace and return to their loved ones.

Whisper just a little louder angel, we will find you.

I think we need to google Aboriginal Culture and the like before we jump on that band wagon. Do we even know if he is of "aboriginal descent"? I think this may need a thread of it's own so it does not mess this one up.

I'm looking at the pushpins on my map, and everything is in a very localized area, EXCEPT for possible evidence found on Indian Grave. So I have to wonder what would bring them so far north? The only thing I can come up with is the idea that they were riding northward and dumping as they went. And if I go with that assumption, I could see how they might possibly have stopped the northward journey at Indian Grave, and continued back south towards home. If they were finished at Indian Grave, the quickest path back would be Blowing Rock Blvd. to Hickory Blvd.

How does this theory help us? I have no idea. Just thinking out loud, I guess.

ETA: Or, I guess they could have gone all the way up to Boone and doubled back via 421.

My daughter saw the searchers heading out this morning between 7 -7:15 am.

She saw a parade of 30-35 cars/vans/emergency vehicles traveling together after leaving the Hudson Fire/Rescue. She said the vans were loaded with people and the cars (mostly) had 3-4 in them. A lot of searchers.

She said part of them went straight across 321 up the Pine Mtn Rd to head up the Christie Road/Dudley Shoals area. The other part took the Mt. Herman Road which heads toward the Drag Strip Road. However one note is that the Mt. Herman Rd does connect with the Pine Mtn Rd via a road named Freezer Locker Rd.

So, sounds like they had a briefing prior to her seeing this, somewhere that could hold that amount of cars. They then headed out, likely going to multiple locations by the sounds of it.

I think we have pretty well exhausted looking/scouring Christie Rd. However I don't think Dudley Shoals and certainly Drag Strip has been done. Off to go look at Drag Strip Rd!

Ok, well then, I would say that
1. This is the search thread, so unless it has to do with that...
and
2. If it is just a rumor we should probably go back and delete all those posts so as not to fuel the rumor. At some point if it becomes fact than a new and appropriate thread should be opened for it.
