sarx, the reporter said that anytime LE gets what they believe to be a credible lead, they go check out each and every one of them. Duh, Mr. Reporter Man! I guess he had to have some words to fill in his sparse report.

LOL, thanks for the laugh. I would really like media to go back and look over THEIR reports and then follow up with LE and start pushing for some answers. Do something that might be useful besides just stating the obvious!

It's true, that LE doesn't have to say a word, but I think there is some responsibility to let your community know as much as you can. I am sure they are moving along nicely on this case, but what do we know? Ummmm, not a whole lot when you think about it. For all we really know they have NOTHING of significance and are still at ground zero.....

Can I just say, the work being done on this thread is amazing? Thanks to each of you who are applying your skills/talents in this endeavor. Zahra is smiling on each of you no doubt!

Yes you all are doing great work! I personally do not care if they search all over three counties if they are getting closer to finding her. I am sure they know what they are doing.

does it seem like, to anyone else, that they are working harder on searching, etc for Z than they did for Haleigh?

  • #447
Ok, so, did EB live up in that area?

  • #448
ok, neat.... Now MSM is reporting searchers are up on Indian Grave Rd/Gap

(sigh) Okay...Indian Grave Gap it is, then. (Glad I made coffee.)

ETA: I'm not familiar with any former address there, Sarx.

Please do not compare cases when it comes to how hard LE and SAR works. There is no way for the general public to know this IMO, nor is it relevant to this thread. JMO.

Was this on tv or print? I am not seeing anything that specific

I think maybe wenwe meant to link a different article? But I can't find which one.
Please relink? TIA.

WS peeps are far from the general public.....just look at this thread. Great job guys!

Im ex law enforcement myself, so it was in no way meant as a slam..just an observation of the different pds and the way they do things. And for as for relevancy...well...it is a thread on searches.

With all due respect, it is a thread on searches for Zahra. Not a comparison thread on searches in general.

Oh neat, yet ANOTHER search area. Clearly they are getting tips, but from who? And why is it that these tips seem to be running them all over the place but they never end? Starting to get really irritated. If EB is so misunderstood, then maybe she should just come clean and tell them where she is. I'd have a little respect for that......

I agree. Hacking seems to be one of the very few who actually comes clean and tells the whole story. I wish more of these killers would do the same thing.

Something that appears to be a HUGE christmas tree farm off Indian Grave.

Ugh, just started pushpinning IGR. It may have more little pullouts and what not than Christie did!

Anyone looking into areas where EB may have lived up there?

WSOC-TV 5pm broadcast -- investigators say they may have found a new piece of evidence. Dave Faherty on scene, in Patterson community, along Indian Grave Rd. The area there is much more rugged, he says, than where they found Zahra's prosthetic leg.

He said 32 people are searching a 1-square mile area (about 20 miles from the residence in Hickory). Dave says there is another search planned for the Dudley Shoals community and it could take place as soon as tomorrow.

I have to agree with Oriah here. We have done and AMAZING job of keeping this thread on task/topic. Let's keep going! This thread is about the SAR of Zahra.

It would not surprise me if the parking lot had a sar comparison thread. Not all cases are handled the same, but that is neither here nor there in terms of us looking for possible locations of where Zahra may be.

I have no doubt that LE is looking at this thread and just maybe all of our extra eyes that are scouring maps can help them. Let's keep going!

And back to Dudley Shoals.... Anyone else feeling like a yo-yo?

If this is the case, I can promise you someone is talking. I live in the Cherokee National forest, if you didn't know exactly where you were looking for something, you'd NEVER find it.

ETA: Big creek by that christmas tree farm by the way.
