Unfortunately poor ZFG is up against people who can't understand that it would be deeply distressing for a regular law-abiding human being with typical emotions to be accused of a crime against a child (by which I mean an actual child, not an immature 25-year-old criminal with Manson Family hair framing her mad, mercurial face who is pouting in her little chair and pretending to be a victim.)

Unfortunately poor ZFG is up against people who can't understand that it would be deeply distressing for a regular law-abiding human being with typical emotions to be accused of a crime against a child (by which I mean an actual child, not an immature 25-year-old criminal with Manson Family hair framing her mad, mercurial face who is pouting in her little chair and pretending to be a victim.)

and that's the hell of it. I have grown increasingly jaded regarding the rights of the violated vs the rights of the accused. No, I get it, I do - we need to protect those who may have been unjustly accused. So we throw the law abiding out the window. Oh well, you've just been (fill in the blank - raped/murdered/assaulted/robbed/burgled/abused) so what - it's not YOU who needs protecting....no no no no no, just the poor soul who has been accused. I do get it. But what I want to ask is, why should I continue to obey the law? Seriously, why? I'd have more rights as a debtor and accused felon. The only "rights" I have are those afforded to me if I break the law. And I am a sturdy and durable citizen (and old - ish). What rights do I enjoy? Paying taxes, jury duty, bailing out other folks who thought free money mortgages and credit card bills were their right? I sound like a freakin capital L libertarian here. I'm not - and I haven't occupied anything recently either.

Where are my rights? Where do I stand in line to be protected from mayhem?

:seeya: Thanks for the info! OMG! ZG is not the one who put herself out there to be picked on. Depo's are never any fun, but why 12 hrs for her and only an hour or so for FCA? Got a suspicion the other side upturned and dug into everything in her whole life, found things to maybe use against her to make her look bad or scare her that is totally unrelated to what happened to her because of FCA and CA. I sure hope ZG stays strong, remains dignified.

The concept of it is right BFMD - it's the balance of it that's out of whack.
You and I probably panic because we'll get fined for being two minutes overdue at a parking meter while the other team are on drugs, sideswiping cars in school zones .... and getting slapped on the wrist for it.
ZFG never did anything but innocently become a victim. Casey Anthony is a monster. In the eyes of the law they have equal entitlements and rights. I'm with you ... it's right but it's wrong.

Thank you Talina - I was so concerned about ZFG that I listened to the Levi Page/Jeff Ashton interview (nothing new there - yawn).

C'mon Mr. Morgan we need more that that please! PoorZFG - how can there be any rational to warrant a 12 hour deposition - that is just silly. What did they cover - her life from the day she was born - and her mother's too? :banghead:

Looks like this is might go on and on.
“There is a hearing scheduled next month where both sides will argue about whether or not Casey should be required to answer the questions from last month’s deposition or whether she has the right to take the 5th amendment.

The case is scheduled to go to trial next April.

Those 3 questions are not very important that Greene wants answered. I seem to remember a whole mountain of questions nobody on the FCA side wanted to answer truthfully. Also remember certain ones getting money too. I want to bang my head again!

I'm hoping Jeff Ashton is right and that they will not allow OCA to testify and will settle out of court. Wonder if Morgan will settle for that? I think he most wants to depose Casey more than anything...
