I think it's an in camera hearing, meaning it's in the judge's chambers. Someone mentioned this in the comments of the article about the Strip bar in Port St. Lucie offering Casey a job at orlandosentinel.com.

Good enough because we should hear from Matt Morgan pretty quickly afterwards and there is no way this morning I am in a mood to listen/watch Mr. Greene....grrrr.

No kidding. We all know what he's arguing right now...they know where she is! Her life is in danger, judge! Ignore the videos she released, that means nothing!

Yeah, not in the mood for that either.

Also a conversation going on in Sidebar with AdamLongo tweeting it is a closed hearing...and CFnews or whatever is saying it is an Equisearch hearing so who knows till they come out...

And they just tweeted the proceeding is over. Well that was fast!

ETA: Apparently the defense was the only one there, including Cheney Mason and Lizbeth Fryer!, and this will apply to ZG and TES's cases. Quit teasing us already and tell us the outcome!!!!

Casey Anthony: Civil attorney argued why she shouldn't have to answer questions

Defense attorneys in the criminal case also attended the closed-door proceeding.

-----------------------------
IMO...something is up... OCA's criminal defense attorneys, Cheney Mason and Lisbeth Fryer, decided to attend the closed-door Civil case hearing..

they must have been adding to the argument of why she can plead the 5th and not be forced to answer the civil questions due to the appeal case...
I will also speculate that Mason is throwing around threats about filing a complaint at the Federal level concerning her civil rights..
IMO

Huh? So who called for this hearing? Mason and Fryer?

Morgan and Morgan filed the motion..I am assuming the Judge called this closed-door hearing..
Civil attorney Greene filed a notice that he would be in participating
Mason and Fryer.were present at this Civil Hearing...wonder if they argued anything???

So Morgan wasn't allowed at this meeting? How is that fair!?

I'm betting the defense called for this meeting in camera, and unfortunately, it can exclude the plaintiff. With everything that's happened, there is no way the defense would want to have to argue this in court for all of us to see. And considering how short the hearing was and that it's confidential, I'm sure they got their way too.

:waitasec:
Did I miss something?
It doesn't say in the article, and I have not read or heard mentioned, that Morgan and Morgan were not allowed at this hearing.

They are not mentioned in the article but I assume they were in attendance.....Can a judge call a hearing and exclude the plaintiff's attorney's who filed the motion???

The article does state that Texas EquuSearch's attorney would not appear or participate in the proceeding.
