Zizians linked to four murders in three states, January 2025

In this undated and unknown location photo released by the Department of Homeland Security shows Border Patrol Agent David Maland posing with a service dog. He was killed in January during a traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Vermont.

The leader of a cult-like group that has been tied to six killings spanning three states, including Vermont, is facing new felony charges in state court in Maryland, according to an indictment.

Jack Amadeus LaSota, 34, who goes by Ziz and other aliases and uses feminine pronouns, is facing charges of alleged narcotics possession and armed drug trafficking, the indictment states

Glad that the authorities are hitting these cultists with everything they've got to keep them locked up as they are a serious danger to society.

Finally, the Zizans are going to be discussed in depth on MSM. WBUR, Boston's public radio outlet, will devote tomorrow's hour-long episode of On Point to the topic: Who are the Zizians?

Deborah Becker sits in for regular host Meghna Chakrabarti, and the research will be top notch, IMO. I can't wait, because I'm still thinking about these people.

So, they were really just drug dealers?

I think they were up to something in their white panel vans equipped with computers, but can't figure out what - or why such widespread beliefs as veganism and concern about AI would lead to several unconnected murders.

I was thinking, FBI are perhaps keeping them all in jail, separate from LaSota, so one at least might detach from their cult-like loyalty and talk to LE.

<snipped for focus>

IIRC, they were all involved in murders in several states. The drug charges may be just to hold them for now.

I think among the Zizians arrested, all of them are wanted for murder, whether it be for the two people murdered in California, the one person murdered in upstate New York, or for the two parents murdered in their home in Pennsylvania. These are very dangerous people.

It always amazes me how these people find each other. Yikes.

I hope the prosecution can keep these dangerous cult members locked up as long as possible as they clearly are a danger to society. I assume that if they continue to talk over their attorneys that they will be removed from the proceedings, and not disrupt the justice process. They always have the option of firing their attorneys and representing themselves.

She read from handwritten notes and said the delay in the Allegany County case was intended to prevent her from stopping a wrongful death penalty for Teresa Youngblut in connection with the killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent David Maland earlier this year.

“The obvious (suspect) is the other border patrol agent,” Zajko said, and added she and her codefendants are being held in Allegany County “to prevent (the) truth from coming out.”

McKinley talked of massive files involved in the case.

“Discovery is huge,” he said and added that police body camera footage alone exceeds 40 hours.

Of a 16-page federal search warrant that pertains to the case, 11 pages were redacted, McKinley said.

McKinley discounted claims the three defendants are part of a dark and weird group as depicted in police and news reports.

“I firmly believe they are not a cult,” he said.
