I'm sad for Zoe, because if the public thought her husband killed her, she would be a household name. The fact that her family was honest about the fact that she's experiencing postpartum mental illness means that she's not even a blip in lthe news or social media.

I happened to become acquainted with a young woman just as she had been diagnosed with post-partum psychosis. She had stopped feeding her baby because she thought it harbored a demon. Once the medication kicked in, her transformation was remarkable…from depressed and silent to happy and vivacious. She became a delightful friend.

I’m sorry Zoe didn’t get the treatment that would have returned her to her real self.

But even more interesting is the lengthy comment after the article by “Jackie” who was the friend and mother’s helper who lived with Zoe and Dave. We can read, but can’t discuss AFAIK.”

I am a bit confused about their living situation. Am i reading correctly to understand that the fiance, zoe, the baby AND a nanny are all living together in an RV? Do either of the parents work outside the home? Was the nanny hired to help care for the baby because of zoe's ongoing MH issues following the birth or to watch the baby while zoe and dave were at work? MOO but the living situation seems odd to me.

Agree it was a confusing read. But it’s Humboldt County, so I chalked it up to that. That’s not a slight, just an observation. I love it there, beautiful area.

After reading the article, I have some new thoughts on Zoe’s husband - I’ll leave it at that.

i suspect we're having similar thoughts about the fiance/husband! it is interesting to me that in the time since she's been missing, he seems to be spending so much of his time focusing on her family cutting off access to her trust and evicting him from the property. i am of course referencing that latest kym kemp article posted above.

IMO, regardless of the ongoing legal battle over the former house, i can understand why her sister might not want him having access to zoe's funds. some of the statements made by jackie in that article also raised an eyebrow towards some of dave's actions.

Yes Kym is great. You can really go down a rabbit hole with this case. I "worked" right down the street it in Myers Flat.

Yes Kym is great. You can really go down a rabbit hole with this case. I "worked" right down the street it in Myers Flat.

We lived up Eel Rock Road just outside of Myers Flat off the Avenue of the Giants for 15 years mostly in the ‘70’s. Had some acres with beautiful redwoods. My dh worked with Kym’s Mom. Good times.

A big part of me wonders if her husband or another party potentially intentionally exacerbated her PPP in some way in order to make her feel like she could not trust herself and enabling someone else to tell her what's what. The husband just doesn't give me the warm fuzzies. I also wonder if he possibly went and picked her up and did something to her sometime after she was seen on the camera footage. These are just some of the thoughts i'm having about the situation.
