Livie, you are so right. Banging on a door is not an imminent threat of death. I think the jury went by the honest and reasonable standard and imo Wafer failed in both.

Thank you for your opinion on this. I think the jury instruction that if they found his exculpatory statements to be false, they could consider that evidence of his guilt critical in this verdict. In other words, I think they believed he lied and delivered a guilty verdict accordingly. I...

I can't believe zimmerman took the stand and lied about how old he thought Trayvon was, contradicting his statements to the dispatcher.

IMO, it would be a prosecutorial nightmare for LE to have found remains yesterday, but kept it secret. Any defense attorney would drool over something like that.

Fingerprints on the phone would tell who had it last, imo.

I was absolutely amazed at that discussion between Judge Perry and mason yesterday. Basically, mason was admitting just how incompetent they were, that they did not have their files in order. Outrageous, at this late date. imo.

Perhaps if the Ramsey's had waited 31 days before having someone call 911, they would have been treated differently, Dave. BTW, circumstantial evidence has the same weight in a trial as direct evidence.
