    Mexico Mexico - David Hartley, 30, Lake Falcon, 30 Sept 2010 #1

If "that's what the authorities think I need to do, then that might be an option," she said. Her speech is very circuitous. I simply do not trust her.

    Mexico Mexico - David Hartley, 30, Lake Falcon, 30 Sept 2010 #1

Well, well, well...I haven't visited Websleuths since last December! But here I am--back after hearing the news story about Tiffany Hartley. Immediately after it aired, I flew over to the computer to dig a little deeper. Actually, to see if there were others out there who shared my utter...

    UT -Susan Powell, 28, West Valley City, 6 Dec 2009 - #1

I can't believe there's yet another sad story to bring me back to Websleuths. This one is just as hinky as the others. No way the father took his little kids out camping for "fun" in the middle of the freezing cold. I'm thinking along the same lines as some of you who mentioned he may have...

NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, Fayetteville, 10 Nov 2009 - Allegedly sold by mother #18

Yes--that's exactly what I was trying to say. Mario wasn't afraid of being seen/filmed because he didn't think any crime would be reported. Sort of like the proverbial tree falling in the forest--you know--does it make a sound when it falls if there's no one around to hear it? Mario was...

NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, Fayetteville, 10 Nov 2009 - Allegedly sold by mother #18

I think Mario may not have been concerned with being seen on the camera because he was not intending to actually kill Shaniya. At that point, in his mind, he hadn't committed a legal offense for which he would fear being be made accountable. That is--if AD gave him permission to "take"...

NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, Fayetteville, 10 Nov 2009 - Allegedly sold by mother #18

Don't beat yourself up for assuming innocence and giving someone the benefit of doubt. That's not stupidity, it's humanity.

NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, Allegedly sold by mother 11/10/09 #10

I think the mother is a pathalogical narcisist. I don't think she "hated" the father or Shaniya--more like she was completely indifferent to them. Shaniya was merely an extension of her--something to use as she saw fit. I doubt that she had any feelings for her when she was alive, and...

NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, Allegedly sold by mother 11/10/09 #9

I rarely post here, but I'm right there with you all. I'm so distraught right now. It's difficult to keep up a "normal" appearance at work. I don't know what I believe about the afterlife and God, but I do think that Shaniya is better off now. I know she's not in any more pain, not...

NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, missing from her home 11/10/09 #2

Since they already have the suspect in custody, to whom would she be making this emotional plea?

GUILTY CA - Alex Mercado, 4, Mendota, 30 Oct 2009

This story is so disturbing. I'm not making any excuses for Raul Castro, but the first thought that came into my mind when I read about him was that he must have been sexually abused himself. If his classmates were picking up on his weird behavior, makes me wonder why teachers or his parent(s)...

    2009.10.09 Document Release

Snaz--I agree. Just wondering though--how Casey would have proceeded if Caylee's body had been found before Casey had admitted that she was missing to begin with.

    2009.10.09 Document Release

eg@gm--I think you're bringing up a very intriguing question here. I've never thought anything other than that Caylee's body was there all along, but now you've caused me to ponder the possibilities of how this story would have played out if the body had been found before the 911 call--before...

2008.06.16 James T. says he saw Caylee alive around Noon #1

I don't think a 42yr old man eyeing a hot 20-something is necessarily a "dirty old man". Good-looking or sexy people are natural targets for the eyes--regardless of age.

Stuffed animal "Taz" a.k.a. Techbay "Beanie Baby"?

Bond--you're right. I just went back to eBay and searched Taz Beanie and noticed that none of the entries says "Beanie Baby". They say Beanie toy or simply Beanie. None of them claim to be actual TY licensed. I wonder if the Techbay giveaway toys were real or were they the generic Beanies.

That's a good point. He probably just identified her visually--from his memory to media images of her. I'm sure if his testimony helps the prosecution, the defense will bringing up the the same question you are.

I just found the Taz beanie on eBay, but I don't know how to insert the image.

re: the disparity between cell phone ping and Walmart locations--is it possible that someone else was using Casey's cell phone while she was at Walmart? (Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I'm at work so I don't have enough time to read everything right now.)

2008.06.16 James T. says he saw Caylee alive around Noon #1

Hi all--I haven't been here in a while, but with all this new info it looks like there's something to sink my teeth into. RE: Caylee opening the doors by herself--I find this guy's statement pretty credible and articulate. Many stores have both automatic as well as manual opening doors. I'm...

NY NY - Steven Damman, 2, East Meadow, 31 Oct 1955

So DNA testing proves that John Barnes is NOT Steven Damman: http://www.newsday.com/news/local/ny-lidamman0619,0,465555.story But--he sure looks like he could have been. The resemblance between 56? year old Barnes, and 2-year old Damman, is uncanny. Barnes even looks like Dammans father too.
