Krems, Austria — An Austrian man who had kept his daughter captive for 24 years and raped her thousands of times, fathering seven children with her, can be moved from psychiatric detention to a regular prison, a court ruled on Thursday. The decision stipulates that Josef Fritzl, 88, will have to attend regular psychotherapy and undergo psychiatric evaluations during a 10-year probation period at the prison, Austria Press Agency reported.

To be fair, if he's moved to a senior home, he should be in a dungeon there. Imo.

Realistically, even at his advanced age, he could still cause problems for other residents or staff, imo. Sometimes the worse parts of people's personalities emerge more as someone ages, develops dementia, etc. Imo.

IMO, wherever he ends up, the fact that he's there (given his crimes) will be difficult for staff and other residents.

I agree. It seems unfair to subject other seniors and staff to being around him. MOO.

He should be in lockdown, period, even if he's so disabled that he's no longer verbal or mobile.

If another patient's family members found out he was there, it could compromise everyone's safety.

Incestuous rapist Josef Fritzl is a “monster” and will never be allowed into Britain, James Cleverly said on Monday.

The Home Secretary was responding to reports that Fritzl wanted to come to the UK if freed from detention.
