PUBLIC INFORMATION ANNOUNCEMENT
For Immediate Release

The latest total regarding tips/leads to our agency on the Somer Thompson case is 2,600. Teams of detectives from multiple agencies continue to work on the Somer Thompson case today and are following up on many of these leads. This still includes agents from the FBI, FDLE and from the U.S. Marshals, who have committed to remaining part of our team until Somer's killer is caught.

Today, Sheriff Beseler met at length with a crew from America's Most Wanted and they are developing a presentation regarding Somer's case that will air nationally on Saturday night. Our hope is that additional leads will be called into our agency as a result. Meanwhile, please continue to ask your viewers/readers/listeners to call or email our agency with any helpful information they may have. The tips line remains open and manned 24/7.

I would like to emphasize, for sake of rumor control, that no arrest has been made yet in this case. We do not have anyone in custody and have not named any persons of interest. Reports to the contrary are inaccurate.

Sadnpod, I wanted to ask, and I don't know if you know the answer, but do you have any idea why the mother's friend SP was there to watch the children that day and why he was there for lunch? Do you know what type of relationship he has with the mother?

Per Florida Statute 775.21, there are several criteria that must be met in order for an individual to be designated for registration as a sexual predator. These include:

1) A conviction for a qualifying and Capital, Life, or First degree felony sex offense committed on or after 10/1/1993; or

and
3) A written court finding designating the individual a sexual predator.

OR

4) Additionally, as of July 1, 2004, regardless of whether an individual meets or does not meet the criteria listed above, anyone civilly committed under the Florida Jimmy Ryce Sexually Violent Predator Act must register as a sexual predator.

LOL, on the reports ... IMO, media reads here/other boards and asks Sheriff about the reported rumor of an arrest.

Those reports are false says the Sheriff.

I have been holding on to this information since the Amber Alert. I have both called and emailed information to LE but have seen no results, so I am bringing it to you. Since there is no Psychic, Dreams, Impressions thread I hope it is okay to post this here. On Tuesday Oct 20th I got on a Jacksonville news site to see if there was anything new on Haleigh's disappearance. I saw the Amber Alert on Somer which basicly said that she had gone missing at Gano & Debarry while walking home from school.
I began to meditate on her name and asked her where she was. She replied "Briarwood". Then she showed me a light yellow, kind of boxy looking convertible with tan leather seats. My focus went immediately to the trunk and she said "I was in here". I knew that meant she was gone, so I asked her who had done this to her. She showed me a young man coming out a nice house, walking down the driveway and getting into the car. He had short dark hair, a muscular build, an all american clean cut looking kid. I asked "this is who killed you?' and was shown (sorry it gets a little graphic here) him choking her. I again was shown him coming out of the house with a large empty box that he put in the backseat of his car and drove away. My next image was of a lot of green grass & trees, he was over top of her again but this time he was (sorry again) hitting her in the head and face with a hammer. The next flash showed the hammer being thrown up onto a black shingled roof, I heard the hammer sliding and then I could see it resting with the steel end in the gutter and the wood part laying up on the shingles. The final image was of the young man coming out of his house with a skateboard slung over his shoulder(this was long before I found out there was a skateboard park near the burned out house). That is what I saw.
It left me with many questions as you may imagine. First of all I "felt" like she knew him and went with him willingly, maybe coming home late sometimes was due to watching him skateboard?
I also wondered why he would use a hammer on her since he had already choked her, then in one of the first few threads someone mentioned a young man (K) who was still in school but hoped to become LE one day. My (as you say) Hinky Meter went crazy and I started to think that perhaps LE was not as impressed with this young man as he was with himself. What better way to prove how bright you are to a sick young mind than to plan the "perfect crime". Using a hammer would have them looking for a "monster" not the "All American Boy".
This is the info that I received. It is my hope that one of you can help to put these pieces together and bring justice for Somer. Thanks for your time!

Did he rape her as well? Did she feel pain? Did he have help? Could he have been a friend of SP or PC? I for one think it was more than one person and one of those men is involved. Could this be one of AC's friends? She definitely knew the monster. Definitely. And I agree it's someone young.

I did not see him rape her, and if she suffered I believe it was only for a very short time. I don't know who he is a friend of, as he is the only one I ever saw. Most of the images showed him shirtless but one had him wearing a dark green short sleeved shirt that seemed a little "square" for the young man that he was.

There is a Briarwood Ct a couple of streets from where she lived. I was wondering if he lived or hung out there?

IIRC one of the last known locations she was spotted was near Gano Ave. and Grove Park Dr. ( I think it was a little girl who stated this?). When I look at a map, I see that Grove Park Dr. takes you directly to Briarwood Ct. Coincidentally, this route also connects to Horton Dr., providing an alternate route home.

Did she take that route, instead of the Debarry route, which could explain why the crossing guard at Gano and Debarry didn't see her that day?

It's tricky to rely on psychic info, since it is so prone to error, and is the least reliable in terms of investigative tools. But hey - why not? Traditional LE methods don't seem to be getting very far in this case, so why not?

Nancy Grace, if you're reading here, puhleeze get the sheriff on your show and ask the difficult questions as to how he can ask for the public's help when the public knows nothing about the case... was she sexually assaulted? What dumpster do they think she was placed in? Who was the last person known to have seen her and where did he/she see her? Come on Miss Nancy - what do ya say??

I have no idea of how to contact Somer's mom. I was hoping some of the locals could talk to the kids in that area (without someone trying to report an alleged abduction), kids usually know more about who's who in the neighborhood.

I would not talk to any kids about that. They are freaked out enough as it is. If people on here think it would be a good idea to get in touch with Somer's mom they might be able to help you find out the information.
