Obviously you're not a mitigation specialist lol. :)

I'm not either, but I've worked with them, and I would say, for starters:

--she's been "abused" her whole life, starting with the wooden spoon and ending with mean old Travis

--she's somewhat deranged mentally and doesn't react normally to things

--she was really really in love with Travis and was under tremendous stress because he didn't love her back

--she doesn't remember killing him, so it would be unfair to punish her for it

--her family would be sad if she were put to death, and just when she and her parents were starting to get along...

--this was her very first crime

--no way will she ever kill anyone again--she's over that now

And her age. She's relatively young.

Hope no one minds, just wanted some insight on this, moved over from end of last thread. I haven't been able to watch all of the trial. I have a question that maybe some of you can help me with. I am pretty much the same height and weight as TA but 20 years older. I can think of no way a 115 pound female could stab me 29 times unless I was physically restrained. After the first stab, I would be in fight for survival mode. I might not survive, but she would surely be at least seriously injured if not killed. You might get stabbed once if it was from behind. The second stab would be a glancing blow as you turned towards your attacker. There wouldn't be a 3rd stab wound except maybe a defensive wound to the hands or forearms. I would think any 200 pound man could incapacitate any 115 pound woman with a single blow. From that point it would go very badly for the smaller incapacitated attacker. I believe the gunshot was forensically proven to have occurred after the stabbings. But even at that a .25 pistol is not immediately debilitating under most circumstances. It makes me wonder if that's why JA removed the ropes from the scene. Were they used in the commission of the crime? Was TA tied up either as sex play or at gunpoint before the knife attack occurred?
I understand where you are coming from, but if the first stab happens as you are trying to get up from sitting in a small shower stall, and cuts through your superior vena cava, you would be immediately stunned and very weakened. Blood immediately fills your right lung space, then starts coming up your trachea out your mouth and you begin struggling to inflate your collapsed lung and move air past the blood, which is very irritating to airway tissues. You get light headed and primarily focused on getting your breath, though trying to also fend off your attacker. Acute respiratory distress is one of the most difficult problems for people to cope with, aside from burns. IMHO

I brought your post over upthread...TA was the same height as JA--despite what msm is
telling you. Also she was a helluva lot heavier than 115 lbs at the time (have you seen the
Pics? ).

There was no rope.

If an ex had a gun on you and made you sit down in the shower or tortured you before this and made you sit in shower where and how would you escape? Cause I believe this is what happened to TA. She has a gun and a big knife...whatcha gonna do..you are seated in a very small space?

i heard the "Dr" say that the first few interviews were "very" important as they determine what tests he administers to diagnose her....so if she lies during those "first" interviews doesn't that throw the entire diagnosis off?
Jodi is going DOWN and not in the way she is used to!

Brought over from last thread:

I was watching HLN too! (Husband had the nerve to want to use the computer!)

Those texts are NOTHING but a girlfriend and boyfriend having a fight and saying mean things. FTLOG you should hear me argue/fight with my husband sometimes. I am after all originally from the Bronx and my husband says the Bronx comes out when we argue.:blushing:

Amazing how consensual sex (regardless of how Arias and her defense are playing it off as "deviant" or if other's see it as deviant, people have anal, give BJ's, talk dirty etc.) and fighting with your boyfriend and "hurtful/mean words are spoken/texted is being blown WAY out of proportion and twisted into this BULL****!

Oh yeah!! If people heard me and my BF fighting I think I'd have a case for misogyny or abuse, and he'd have a case against me for NPD, and as for bedroom antics I think what went on between Jodi and Travis was on the mild end of what people ACTUALLY get up to, but wouldn't really discuss.

Watching Juanny again on NG :great:

Can someone give me the name of the Book he gave her?

My comments:

Remember that this murder happened in 62 seconds. Travis was naked, wet, and no doubt this was a surprise attack. I would think that the first stab wound was a great shock to his system. Physically and mentally. I think if I were stabbed my first instinct would be surprise and my hands would go to my wound and/or up to protect myself. Before Travis was able to regroup and perhaps disarm her he was stabbed again and again. By the time he made it to the sink he was dying IMO and would not have been able to do much of anything. He never had a chance.

There's no evidence of rope being used. Just the words from JA's mouth.

And her age. She's relatively young.

I think (but haven't checked recently) that the AZ Supreme Court put a stop to the "young age" argument after the age of 30. Was Jodi over 30 at the time of the crime? Or just in her late 20s? I can't recall, and she looks at least 48 now....

1. Don't remember the date on the phone tape
2. Enough miles to help prove predmeditated murder.
3. I don't remember
4. Vampire hunting (UGH! SHE IS SUCH A WHACK-A-DOO!)

1) may 10
2) 2k +
3) a remote control
4) vampire hunt

Y'know how sports fans remember seemingly obscure stats for various sports?
Same phenomena, different topic ...

Quick ... what date was the phone sex tape created?
How many miles were on the rental car?
What was returned to Darryl at the beginning of the death trip?
What was Bobby Juarez wanting to do in San Francisco?

May 10 2008
2865?

Okay, I totally saw this AND the thought ran through my mind.....JM doesn't wear a wedding ring, and WOULDN'T it be funny if he were quietly married to JW (no ring to no one suspected)??

I mean, look at Mary Matlin and James Carville - complete opposites, who have jobs to bash the other side (so to speak). Imagine if JM and JW were married! An evening at home: "Hey honey,!" "Hey." >SILENT DINNER< "See you tomorrow."

Mr. and Mrs. Smith??

This psych doc is really a conundrum. While I don't really believe he is infatuated with JA I think he was very interested in this case and did lean towards the defense since they are footing the bill. I just cannot understand why he would base his diagnosis on a whopping lie and also not have precise notes. All I can come up with is he is arrogant and felt he would not have to prove himself in court. It is very careless to say the least.

RS doesn't date anything, either. I can't imagine any professional not putting a date on client/patient notes, tests, records, etc., especially when he knew that he would have to testify in court and be able to provide specific dates and/or times when he met with Ms. Arias, dates when he conducted written tests, etc. Very disorganized, and it's shameful.

Nancy saying the court is ongoing due to daylight savings time.

Seriously though, why lie to your friend Nancy?
