Thanks... ponder why they only showed him trying to cry and him saying one sentence (he spoke of her in the past tense... which I find odd, but I guess stress will do your mind in, when something like this is going on). Looked like he had more to say...

Kmart is just across the street and about a 1/2 block, it's next to a senior high rise. There is a path that goes from senior apartments to Kmart in the field. My niece lives a few blocks over and states they have people searching the ditches by her. The helocopters have been flying all morning. The apartment complex is very close to Mercy hospital.

There is some talk, my niece is trying to get a hold of a friend who stated that she say on either myspace or facebook, that they know who has her, but didn't state anything else. I'm waiting to hear back from her. But this info has not been confirmed and is just a rumor. If I get the direct link I will post it. The helocopters are no longer flying around the area.

UPDATE: George Kennedy, who is the boyfriend of mother Jennifer Buchanon, was taken into custody Sunday evening. We know that he remains in custody and that the search continues for 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan.

Tanieya Lewis is at the scene. We'll have more on News 11 at 5.

The girl's mother, Jennifer Buchanan, told Local 4 Kennedy has been her friend for several years, and she knows he has a criminal record and is a sex offender.

Police would not confirm that Kennedy is a sex offender, but the only George Kennedy registered in Monroe is on the sex offender list.

I seriously don't understand why a mother would knowingly expose her children to a sex offender..let alone date one. Most parents try to keep their children AWAY from people like that....
