GUILTY NY - Levon Wameling, 9 months, Utica, 29 May 2013

Thank you. I'm happy being single tbh. I've grown as a person, having to stand up and being the one who is totally responsible for getting my kids through life. It's tough, but anyone who thinks they can't be alone and need a partner to complete them, jumping from one relationship to another, stop! Be on your one for 6 months initially. You need to find yourself.

I feel for baby Levon. He had no chance at life.

Still no arrest ? I mean I get dad is arrested but not for Levon's death :(
Thinking about you little boy :)

From the above article:

"A woman who befriended Jevon Wameling before and after the baby disappeared asked not to be identified, but told our Jim Kenyon that Jevon confided in her. She says Jevon told her he would give the baby Loco, an alcoholic drink and blow marijuana in the baby's face to make him go to sleep. She says she can believe the claim that the baby died in his sleep."

And I didn't think it was possible to hate someone I'd never met.....

Poor Baby Levon....Little Boy, you are loved. There are a whole bunch of people here that love you, that mourn you...I'm so sorry....

A jailed Utica man has changed his story about the circumstances surrounding the death of his infant son over the summer.

In a letter written to the Utica Observer-Dispatch and posted Thursday morning, 27-year-old Jevon Wameling says he was not “completely straightforward” when he told an O-D reporter and police his nine-month-old son disappeared from his home on the night of May 29.

Wameling now says he found the baby “dead in his sleep”, and it was because he was “scared out of his mind” that he lied about the boy’s status and whereabouts.

Poor baby :( ....... but what about the 1 inch gash in his skull? It brings one smidge of comfort to think he may have been ' passed out' and didn't feel the blow that killed him, but that's in no way giving dad a pass for forcing alcohol on the baby. :( sick sick sick

Article above discusses the upcoming court date on the robbery charges.

Thanks. Poor Levon, he had enough health problems and didn't need cocktails and smoke blown in his face. He needed love and care.

Watched the video here of Jevon in court. Saw a quick glimpse of Baby Levon's Mother. I want to see Jevon get charged with the murder of his son

The waiting is driving me nuts. This poor baby seems to have be almost invisible in his short life, and certainly was discarded....it's time for justice for him.

Tillie, I believe LE is building a case. Surely they know what happened. Surely this perp will pay!

Yeah-wait-what????!!!!!

"
Wameling entered his plea Wednesday morning in Oneida County Court. He will be sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced on Jan. 30, officials said."

Nononononononononononononononooooooo......

7.5 to 15.....and then with the months he's been in lock-up.....Will he even serve 5???? WTH!? I feel like I just got punched in the gut.
Levon's life is worth 7.5 to 15 years?????

We really do live in a world where babies are disposable....like they're not even PEOPLE for heavensake. 7.5 to 15. He'd have gotten more time for possession (being a felon already and ll).

Beyond words.

Murders kill , go to jail for several years and get out to lead a "normal"life. Its bs. Our system needs an adjustment. Bad

Okay, a few more details here....Jevon "admitted" that Baby Levon fell off of a couch, suffered a head injury, and....well, Jevon apparently waited until his son died in his sleep, then put Levon in a weighted-down bag and dumped him in the river. On May 29th.
Of course, because he was scared and sad, he just figured he would carry on as per his norm, drugging and partying, until his parents pressured him about Levon's whereabouts. And then mom and dad got him to a lawyer, Jevon gave them all his little song-and-dance about Levon being stolen from his front porch while Daddy Dearest climbed into a window after getting locked out following a late night walk in 60-degree temps (with Levon wearing only a diaper)....and they all went to the DA about the missing baby.
Sounds credible. :banghead:

Wait - it gets better!! Levon apparently had this head injury (which was said to be in the same spot the ME found the skull fracture) when taken to visit Amy in jail on MAY 18th. He died on MAY 29th.

Eleven days.

Jevon also is said to have frantically called his mother on May 29th. When she got in touch with him the next day, he told her he had taken care of whatever the problem had been.

He plead guilty to manslaughter

That's it? You know I'm riled up about this. It upsets me to no end to find out Levon actually suffered for days, 11 days, before his useless father packed him up to toss him in the river. May his stay in prison be miserable with an unbearable headache everyday. Hope he never fathers another child.

Rest in Peace, sweet Levon.

Poor baby Levon. :(
I have to believe during those 11 days he was so injured as to feel no pain.
Please PLEASE Please let that be so. I refuse to believe anything else.
Oh no ......

Levon would still not even be an adult by the time Jevon gets out of prison.
May the prison's own justice system deal him the final act . Prays !

Oneida COunty legislator proposes Levon's Law

"Gordon has proposed a new law that would allow for a felony charge if parents wait more than an hour to report a child 4 years-old or younger missing. Gordon's proposed "Levon's Law" says parents of a child between 5 and 8 need to notify police within 3 hours if they believe their child is missing. For older, presumably more independent children between 9 and 15 years old, parent would have to call police if their child was missing for 12 hours. Gordon says the law would give police and prosecutors another tool and potentially carry more weight than a simple endangering the welfare of a child misdemeanor charge."

Levon, so many people will never forget you, sweetie...
