Searching for Anna - #1

I know smile22. You would think that there is somone somewhere who knows/knew him. I have never gotten a reply from the "boxing board" from anyone who knew him either.
You bring up a good point though, I think we need to explore more on who is George. Lets get his picture, the name that he went by and everything else that we have, posted in as many places as we can.

We might as well do another myspace page just for "George." I will do the myspace page and as soon as I get it up, I'll link it to here and to the pages that WS's have done for Anna.
 
I have always believed (mostly without any evidence to justify it) that Brody is the "Rosetta Stone" to understanding what occured to Anna. I have often stated that the only official paperwork that ever existed concerning him is his death certificate (and even that is suspicious because the only person who provided any information contained in it was George Waters). The boxing angle looked very promising, but the pesky fact that our Wolgast lived in Philly until his death meant that he is not Brody. I believe that if we can ever solve who Brody was will lead us to what happened to Anna.

A MySpace site for Brody may lead us to information about him. Obviously, the few people who were his contemporaries who are still alive are definitely not of the "computer generation", so I do not know how much response we will get, but all we need is one response to help us fill in the gaps. It may very well help our search.

Great idea Shadow! One of Brody's relatives may be a MySpace user, and recognize the pic as their mysterious great-uncle who lost touch with the family. I look forward to seeing your "George" page :)
 
Hello all, I am new here and this is my first post. While most are sleeping I am awake brainstorming just looking for something to do. I believe so far since Monday I have slept 6 hours. My point is this: while you all rest, know that I will be searching for any clues that may have been over looked. My hopes are to enter here with a fresh pair of eyes. So far I have been reading past threads trying to catch up on a case I have only just heard about within the past 24 hours. I don't know how to share things on here yet but I am a fast learner and will figure it out quickly. Maybe this woman is Anna and then maybe she isn't, but a mother knows if her child is alive or dead. Annasmom knows her child is alive and I believe it is time for her to come home. I have been viewing many of the myspace profiles and have become "friends" with a couple of people. maybe we could like mass post his picture and info on any and all geneological websites. but then again there might be a thousand websites out there so we start with the major ones. i know i posted up his info on genforums or something i have to get the correct name of the website i added info about him on 2 areas of that website as well as my email and no hits

Gina, that was exactly whatI was thinking. Like Doogie said, I doubt that any of Brody's peers are on myspace, There certainly is a possibility that some great niece or nephew might be though. Maybe they will remember seeing him in old family pictures and with just a little bit of luck, know the story of what ever happened to Uncle George.

Smile, I like the idea of mass posting on geneological websites. There are so many of them. I say, let's post his picture and what info we have about him on as many site's as we can.

Wasn't this Brody the 'imigrant' one, who we thought our Brody had taken his identity,? Hungarian or something like that...

I ran into Anna's kindergarten teacher at the post office a half-hour ago. She was rushing to do her volunteer work at the Opportunity Center, which has adopted 350 families this Christmas, but we stood outside in the cold and talked about Anna. When I told her about Tuesday's Sheriff's office interviews, she got shivers, and not just from the cold. "It was a life-changing event," she said of Anna's disappearance. "Not just for you, but for everyone." I told her that Anna's classmate had been in touch with us. (Remember, Kelly wrote that Anna's teachers ALWAYS believed Anna was abducted.) The teacher wants to be kept apprised of whatever happens. She praised Doogie. "That's what it takes," she said, "someone who just won't give up on it. Good for him." And then she said "Miracles DO happen."
 
There was some discussion earlier in this thread about age-progressed photos and their accuracy. Well, I've been following the case of Natascha Kampusch, who was kidnapped in Austria 10 years ago and escaped this year. Here is a pic of Natascha before she disappeared:
