I also assume that unless it gets changed to another judge before January, for some reason.I will assume same visiting judge.

I think you are exactly right. It has been so long, no telling what else will take place. In that case the trial would take another year.
This is more of the backroom shenanigans, this kangaroo court system is playing. This is to protect FW, so if the truth comes out at trail, she can not be charged. All my Opinion.

After hearing testimony and evidence at George's trial, I think there were quite a few people who knew the Wagners had killed the Rhodens, including FW. I think the prosecution reluctantly agreed to drop the charges against her because they wanted to protect the evidence and their strategy in the cases against the killers. It's why they left the door open to bring charges against her in the future. Considering the length of the criminal investigation and the high cost, the state would have been justified in prosecuting all of those who knew who the killers were, but didn't come forward. JMOCould you explain what you mean? I have no clue. Charged for what? No one but her attorney can protect her and he has no say in anything regarding Billy's trial.

Sure, there's probably no point in filing new charges against her now (and I think there are ways they could). But its not to say she isn't using her influence for a plan to help Billy avoid conviction, possibly even help George's appeals. Junk has already helped by making sure the civil suit against the Wagners was dropped. The orchestration of the decision to postpone Billy's trial for an entire year is also very suspect. Junk was always sympathetic to the Wagner family before the Rhoden murders.

Just sitting here thinking of folks rightfully complaining about slow trials and thinking it will be moving on 9 years by the time Billy Wagner faces a jury. We're at years and one month + now.
It makes you wonder what else is needed?? BW was discussed somewhat in GW trial and in AW and JW testimony. What else is expected to change?????And no updates in the court site...
George's brief and assignment of errors for appeal is suppose to be filed by June 10th. They already got 3 extensions, they may ask for another before June 10th. I do hope we can get to read the documentsAnd no updates in the court site...
Generally, the Appellate Court docs are available to view-- as well as the oral argument, should the higher Court accept the case for review.George's brief and assignment of errors for appeal is suppose to be filed by June 10th. (if they are not extraordinarily long). I think there is or was a page limit, but I am not sure of that. I am interested to see what errors they claim.
The civil suit was dismissed without prejudice in Sept 2023. I wonder what the time frame is in Ohio to refile a civil suit.
