Gilgo Beach killings: Suspect Rex Heuermann had a 'manifesto' to plan and carry out killings, prosecutors said
The "manifesto," discovered when a laptop seized in a July 2023 search warrant on his home, gave investigators the "blueprint" to understand just how Heuermann operated, the prosecutor added.

And IIRC much of the pressing on the Shannan Gilbert case by Mr. Ray and Shannan’s family are what seem to have led to the revelations on RH and the slayings.
And if one compares the elapsed time (in years) of which the first LISK murder and body deposited there was believed to occur - with the elapsed time of Mr. Ray’s involvement in the case, it would seem IMO that his input has elicited some fortunate findings - and in a relatively shorter timeframe. From what I have observed, it is a good thing he has been involved. MOO

Plus, 20-30 years ago, DNA wasn't on everyone's mind like it is today.
Didn't even know he had to be careful with his DNA or phones.
It's crumbling now.

Amazing they still had DNA evidence. Saved the hairs from 1993. Credit to Suffolk Co. Female and male hair on Costilla.

Wonderful news today, kind regards to the families of 2 young women, and kudos to LE for painstakingly sorting thru hundreds of items to find the evidence needed for prosecution.

Jessica Taylor’s arms severed below elbows; her head dismembered. Man walking dog found her in July 2003.

Maybe she is away for a reason.
Last I heard from her/lawyer is that she's waiting to see the evidence because all she has is what the media is reporting.
Meanwhile all the evidence is stated in his/bail application/indictments.
