I find it interesting that mom seemed to purposely avoid interaction particularly direct in-person contact and/or direct communication when she had the ability to avoid it or pass the buck to someone else on day 1.
It's a school day for Madeline but mom, who according to Gma, always drives her, can't drop off Madeline this morning- Too tired.
Madeline doesn't come out at school dismissal as expected. (Which SS was apparently supposed to accompany mom to do, so she had to go alone) Mom doesn't immediately go in to the school to speak to the front office personnel, speak to the principal or to speak to the teacher directly. She instead opts to.... send an e-mail.
When it's time to get police involved, other family members make the initial calls. 3 calls were placed to 911, and at least 2 were placed by a woman "calling on behalf of Madeline's mother"
Mom waits at her mother's place of business along with SS, other family members, etc. It's apparently a long period of time between the first call to 911 and when an officer actually arrives. At no point does mom opt to go to the police station to speak with anyone there directly instead.
Once police do finally arrive, Mom of course *has* to speak to LE directly, and she also has to speak to the principal on the phone because it was an incoming call- but shes anything but alone at this point - SS is there & also answering questions and a lot of family members are also still there waiting for word too. Her own mother is also there.
I'm wondering if this means absolutely nothing and is just the way things went that day? Or if it's perhaps mom's anxiety or ineptness that drives this and is something she often tries to avoid? Or was she purposely avoiding seeing/speaking to anyone directly about Madeline that particular day? And if so, why?
