Maybe the photos taken were part of his stalking habits, whether it be following LE activity, SW and each of their families, competitors, or even his own employees (hmm, white envelope)?
If so, maybe after he learns whatever he wants to know or get from his 'targets', he no longer need the photos so he makes a note to 'dispose' of them?
