Found Deceased Australia - Stephanie Scott, 26, Leeton, NSW, 5 April 2015 - #1 *Arrests*

For police to keep stating that she 'may be travelling around' in a red Mazda, sounds a bit like they don't think she's been abducted. Just saying.

I actually felt he was less distraught than what I'd have expected. Just something a bit tempered in his demeanour to my mind.

Yeah, saw a pic of that red chopper on channel 9 news tonight. Would there be some reason that police would not be searching with their helicopter? They don't think it's warranted or have some other theory??

Scary and quite incredible. I walked down that exact street just a few hours earlier on my way home from work that day!

After reading about the girl who was killed in melbourne, i thought these kinds of stabbings could also be ice related. Not inherent mental illness but effects of people going crazy on meth.

I don't know that she was stabbed anywhere other than the neck? My understanding is that she uttered those words to her husband just after she was stabbed as I remember reading he said that there were some kind of gurgling or moaning sounds coming from her after that and then the phone went dead.

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/parramatta-stabbing-why-prabha-arun-kumars-husband-was-not-told-of-her-death-20150310-1405sj.html The title of this article stuck out for me. It's a bit of a strange thing to mention. Justification for not telling the husband that Prabha had actually died, in order to...

Does anyone remember reading/hearing how she was found? I think it was a local who found her, but was it just because the person was walking down that path or did they hear her scream and came out in response to that?

TGY, thanks so much for those photos! Yes, the first one with the faded blood stain is especially sad... I find there is something odd about what happened to Prabha. There was no other form of assault and that stab wound to the neck just seemed very targeted ie. with the aim of killing her. We...

Mental illness a good point Keshi. I don't wish to stereotype but it is true that conditions like schizophrenia can occasionally lead people to seek to harm others. In one case I know of the perpetrator not even having regard for police and hiding the act (it was only attempted as police were...

A 'huge' man following her??? What could this mean? Firstly, she must have looked behind her at some stage. In response to a noise? Having passed someone in the street who was eyeing her? And what's with 'huge'?? What do people make of this? Huge, as in physique? The motive thing bugs me too...

It did seem like a lot of time and publicity was invested in this latest forest search, which has so far yielded nothing. Either police have no idea, or some ill informed tip off has led them on a wild goose chase. Some mixed messages too: one tip off v numerous tip offs in relation to this...

I also thought there was something deliberate about this misspelling. Not quite sure who was meant to be protected by it, because everyone knew the real spelling anyway!! But I'm curious about why police have just now decided to 'proclaim' this. What's shifted? <modsnip>
