Waterville is not far at all from Delta. Maybe a 15 minute drive?
Edit to add: My concept of driving time is a little off apparently - Google estimates the drive time from Delta to Waterville at 28 minutes.
Thank you. It's truly terrifying how many people who just go missing, and their loved ones have to suffer like this.
I just did a quick news search, and it would appear that Brenda's boyfriend John Thomas Noser was convicted for her murder in 2000. However, she is still listed as missing...
Yes, Chelsea was my cousin & I have been passing along info to her sister. I do not think that there is any connection between their disappearances, but certainly it is very triggering to have yet another young woman's family suffering like this.
Mine too. I know her mom, and she's truly one of the nicest, kindest people you could ever want to meet. I have had tears in my eyes all afternoon thinking about the hell she must be going through now, not knowing where her daughter is. :(
I would consider the Monroe Evening News to be mainstream media. It's a small newspaper, but it's still a legitimate newspaper. (It's also the hometown paper for Chelsea Bruck and Neveah Buchanan, so they tend to report missing stories quicker than other small newspapers might.)
It was...
The weather was beautiful at that time last night - it's possible that she decided to extend her ride a bit? (I don't know that for a fact - just saying that if I had been out riding my bike at that time last night, I might have been tempted to keep going because it was so nice out in the evening.)
I had a little blip in my feed, but they said something about "3 or 4 rows in" when answering a question about where the bike was found. I got the impression that meant that her bike was found 3 or 4 rows into the cornfield.
Someone asked if her boyfriend was the last to see her. LE stated...
The man from the FBI speaking on the live press conference right now also confirmed the 11 pm report time. Though I did see earlier reports that it was 3 am. (We all know how details can be mistaken in early breaking news reports, I suppose.)
It's farm country. A rural area west of Toledo, Ohio. It wouldn't get much tourist traffic. Mostly people from the region passing through. Though those main rural roads out there some traffic from semi-trucks trying to avoid the turnpike.
Edit to add: This was meant to be in reply to...
Yes, there are searches every day.
The new search headquarters location will be staffed today beginning at 9:30 am.
(Monroe Bank & Trust has donated use of their old location on Swan Creek Rd.)
If you follow the Facebook page, you can see the latest updates on any search or flyer hanging efforts.
Mojo in the Morning (a Detroit based radio show, 95.5) has offered $5,000 for a reward fund for information.
I'm not sure if that has made a news story yet, but it has been shared on the Find Chelsea Facebook page.
Thank you. I am related on her mother's side, not the Bruck side, so I couldn't say for sure about the connection you mentioned. However, if you're from the Maybee area, you might very well know family from her maternal side as well. It's a large family that has been in Maybee for generations too.
