Going by that, I'd have said she could be done for murder if she, say, had drugs lying about the house and didn't do anything to make sure he couldn't get to them. So it could overlap the "neglect" situation.

How come Rosdeep's face is pixellated out in the newspaper photos now rather than other members of the family?

I wonder what charge they would go for if this was the USA? Murder 1 has to be premeditated and have a motive doesn't it? In Casey Anthony's case they were putting forward the motive of wanting to go back to enjoying a single life without a child holding her down. But I can't think of a...

Covering it up and sending police on goose chase. I think they always include the lesser offences these days just in case the main one doens't stick.

Ok the charges are murder and attempt to defeat the ends of justice. According to Sky TV News

As you say it may work differently in Scotland but I believe death certificates in the UK are public records, so we should be able to know the cause of death almost as soon as it is recorded. But I guess it doesn't have to say how whatever it was happened.

I thought right from the time I read that night Mikaeel had "been allowed to" sleep alone that the mother would end up being charged. 3 year olds don't sleep alone for the first time on the very night they're ill. If anything they'd have someone with them that night even if they usually sleep...

When I was a kid we were not allowed to listen to the adult news broadcasts, we had special childrens newsreels without the more horrid stuff in. Also adults never discussed things like murder in front of children, they'd send us out of the room if something like that needed discussing. I...

It's pretty obvious to me that the focus of the photo and the whole reason for the photo being taken was the rabbit. It would have been pointless to crop the photo from the other end!

Sky News on TV this morning said they can't give a time because the court just takes them when they can fit them into the list of people waiting to be heard. Also they said there will be no press or public at the hearing and they will only be able to tell us what is recorded as the charges...

Just some information from The Daily Mail which I have not seen detailed in this thread so far

Looks innocent enough. Little boy squirming from being kissed when he wanted to be down playing. I think there are similar pictures of my own son :)

Well can you list any health conditions that might exclude a child from nursery while not making him feel too ill to go out for a burger/pizza and eat it?

Exactly! That's why I think everything points to the death being no longer ago than Wednesday morning.

All the kids are 9 or under. They'd have cracked straight away under questioning.

No he doesn't look sick to me either. But we know so few details it might simply have been something mild but contageous that the nursery do not allow. It's probably something that wouldn't seem odd *except* in the light of his death. Other parents are always making odd decisions we wouldn't...

My feeling about the post is that she was trying to jolly herself out of the blues, and maybe that led to her deciding to take a risk going out and leaving them alone... Ok, people are saying she had a job outside the home. Was she going? If so was anyone detailed to care for Mikaeel while...

I thought it was posted on the 14th? Two days before he went missing. Well sometimes nurseries are strict - I think people often keep their kids off school but still take them out with the family. Actually I think I did, depending on what it was.

Anyway, by the end of tomorrow we'll have some idea what the police say she did - depending what the charges are.
