Westminster police department is offering R.A.D. classes for free as well to female residents. It's an 8 week course and they already filled 2 sessions with more women on the wait list still. Love that these communities are doing this. Many of us don't feel safe anymore in a community where we...

Great article. It's a bit reassuring to see the response from LE about the supposed DNA testing from a POI. I do, however, hope they really looked into that motorcycle accident. Just because Westminster police were able to confirm there was an actual accident, that shouldn't be enough to dismiss...

I don't know if that would ignite as well. Maybe Bacardi 151, sure, but I thought perhaps lighter fluid.

A couple hundred people participated in the community jog for Vanessa this evening in Princeton. It was oppressively hot and humid.

I just hope it gets to that point.

So far a lot of clues point to him not really planning well/not being all that bright.

Yes. They'd be able to log into her account for that.

What if he only had a small amount of lighter fluid? Then would it be likely he'd burn her hands to hide evidence, and then head and feet in hopes burning her from both ends would be sufficient in starting a big enough fire? I'm betting he wasn't bright enough to know otherwise.

Good question. If she was in fact using the app at the time of her jog, then yes, it would show that. It'll allow you to analyze your runs and see your average speed at any given point in your route, as well as the precise path you took. I've driven to a park for a walk and used my app. When I...

That sounds about right. Well I know which station I'll be checking the most!

I'm curious why other local stations aren't reporting the same. I'd think this was by enough news for them to all have the story.

She also sometimes just ran the length of Brooks Station. But if her phone pinged by the Mountain Barn it could have just been the closest cell tower.

Why do you think they're the only ones reporting this? Is that uncommon?

People only use the app when jogging/hiking/biking/kayaking/etc. She was absolutely running or walking that road. It was a known route of hers.

Plus I think they already know for certain that she was on the road. She left her mother's home on foot.

Many of the roads around here are like that one. It doesn't surprise me too much that she was running on it. She was very familiar with running there too. Her MapMyRun account shows she ran that route whenever she was in the area. Do we know she was listening to earbuds?

Yes I cringed reading that but thought to myself "good to know."

This was my thought too, unfortunately. If she was burned postmortem, it could have been an attempt to just start fires at either end of her and hope the body would burn completely.
