I did say that. Talked about different kinds of boats, but when I picture a jon boar, I think of a tuk tuk motor, tho that's not necessarily true. I am trying to see how you (and others) are visualizing this body transport business. If I were doing it, I would put the deceased SD in car...

I don't know about that. I remember hearing that Sills was consulting with UGA about water movement described as complex in these two lakes.

So, you say a small boat. That might go how fast? If they left from the dock that's 5 1/2 miles.

I keep trying to picture what kind of boat everybody is thinking of and I assume there are many different ideas. Some posters have suggested that the boat might have been too small to transport two bodies. That would be a very small boat and swinging bats or crow bars with enough force to kill...

Well once they started swinging a baseball bat at me you could here me for miles across the lake. Sound travels on the water. Although a quiet lake, the weekends are the busiest but on the lake and people enjoying the docks, etc.

As far as I know nobody heard any screams. NONAME (or something like that the two time poster) said that her patient's yard man had heard voices from the Dermond's house on late Saturday afternoon or early evening. I was busy posting about this when WS went down this morning and didn't...

I don't think she was killed on the boat. In the wide open on either a Friday or Saturday when people would hear screams?

I can't remember the dates of deaths from the obituary, but the official date of death on a Death cert. is when the deceased is DECLARED to be dead by a medical professional. I known that to be true a couple of times when no foul play involved. But that's important in estate issues, etc...

I promise to go back in my hole shortly. IMO if this was a robbery attempt, it would be for something unique, something out of the ordinary that this person believed the D's had, not necessarily money. Why didn't the doer(s) take anything of value from the house? Silver, jewelry, etc?

You can't "swing a cat" (which I would never do) without hitting an RE agent here. I'll do a little asking what feedback they are getting. WE (including myself) are much more absorbed by this than the everyday person. I don't believe this crime, however horrible, will have a long-term or...

“We encourage all residents of Georgia’s lake region to contribute to the reward fund so that enough money will be available to encourage someone to come forward, giving Sheriff Sills the information he needs to solve this crime, thereby returning our great area to a safe place for our families...

Dermond's work career was information systems. I bet he knew lots about his computer.

I bet Dermond used checks. But bill pay and electronic checks live forever.

I guess I am grumpy, but I think the Dermond "kids" should contribute. Thougt Tex McIver's point about property values offensive.

No self-respecting crossworder looks up answers. I know, I'm one and I always work in ink. Makes me think harder. Sorry to be so vocal this morning, I've been sick and catching up. Not a propos to this quote, but here's a little insight on Lake Oconee Community church. It's a very...

Debit card use would be caught quickly. Any transfer of funds would leave a trail.
