I can’t tell you many crew I’ve witnessed over the years try and cover up scenarios in order not to loose their ASIC/ career. Flying jet aircraft is quite specialised so you just don’t walk out and get another job (GL in court said that he had no other qualifications to fall back on).

Excuse my ignorance here…..if GL is found guilty does that mean he can be considered/investigated for other instances ? If found not guilty does that cease any other investigation ?

He presented extremely well, cool, calm and collected….quite articulate and well dressed….he never looked at the Jury and perhaps the judge twice.

At court the other day he did say that it did not occur to him to go to LE (he just wanted to distance himself as much as possible).

Hmm crew would normally go into the briefing room for the next flight to collect paperwork/weather etc…..or if they were changing A/C they would be going thru their checks in the Flight Deck. If the A/C was terminating the cleaners would come on. and complete.
