It might be a fruitful discussion to pretend for the moment BM is innocent, and ask these 2 questions about possible scenarios:
1. What would the behavior of LE be?
2. What would the behavior of BM be?
Scenario: Accident or animal attack.
Scenario: Random abduction.
Scenario...
If they didn't find anything, I think it still may have had value, eliminating a possibility before anything else got built on the property. In that regard, it's something LE doesn't have to keep worrying or thinking about. It does improve focus.
ITA. What holds me back, is that they have not named anyone as a POI. While LE actions point in a specific direction, they themselves are holding back on it. Whether that's part of a strategy, or something else is hard to tell.
I'm still somewhat on the fence in this case. However, I agree that BM is the shark in the aquarium. It's going to remain that way unless other information comes to light.
IMO, the current situation is a chess match. LE likely has an idea of what happened, but needs some missing pieces. The “canvassing” thing could be a chess move, designed to test the behavior of someone (and getting them to think about if any of their previous moves was a mistake). It would not...
Using google maps on the satellite setting, I've been looking to see if there is any connecting waterway or canal between the Arkansas River and the Ninnescah River (north of where the body was found), before the Ninnescah meets with the Arkansas. I haven't found anything yet, but it doesn't...
I think the biggest clue we have, is what LE is not doing, and not saying. Ancillary things such as the guardianship, etc. may or may not have any bearing on the case. As pointed out in earlier posts, there could be explainable reasons why family posts stopped, and why the guardianship...
I am wondering what happens to POA, if it’s not known if the individual is deceased or not. In that context, maybe the POA was not valid, prompting the court action. MOO - IANAL
I had a thought (admittedly unlikely), that LE is keeping BM away from the investigation because they think it would be a bad idea for him to know who any suspect might be before they have that person in custody.
Very much MOO.
