Missing Libby Squire police identify man seen 'helping drunk student'

I lived with housemates throughout uni and beyond and almost certainly wouldn't have checked her room. She wouldn't have appreciated being woken up if she was there, and if she wasn't, they'd have probably assumed she'd gone to another party or friend's house. Plus the two housemates...
Hmm, that is strange, especially the police saying her last sighting was in Block F so pretty specific. Perhaps she'd only moved into a house-share this term? Perhaps there was another taxi which the police accidentally tracked with a similar looking girl?
I'd imagine this refers to her housemates and they've been told by police they can't stay in their house, and would rather return to their respective parents' than stay with friends whilst Libby's still missing.
This is all speculation but -
At 21 I didn't know any of my mates' phone numbers, and in Libby's scenario I'd have used someone my age's phone to log into FB Messenger and contact my friends that way.
If a car had actually stopped whilst I was sat somewhere and an 'older' and possibly...
Yep, and steps down to the drain. Sadly I think the most likely explanation is that she tried to get into her home via the back entrance then for whatever reason went down to the water and fell in. The police have been searching there and downstream, but I don't know how fast the current would...
Is that based on the photos of people trawling it and walking through? Not sure if it's deeper in other parts: the photos on Google show it as being quite large and a fishing website says it's an acre - Oak Road » Hull And District Anglers Association
I'm curious as to why the police have been repeatedly searching the Oak Road pond. It's not on her way to pubs, shops or the Welly, and it's pretty much in a dark, empty dead end.
Her housemate Amelia Cummings put her in the taxi. Meanwhile another of her uni friends, Ryan Tweddell, was with her earlier in the evening at the pre-party but had gone to a cashpoint.
Friends of missing Libby Squire want people to help search for her
EDIT: I see LittleMystery's already...
She might have just not brought them, if she was going out with all her housemates and didn't bother bringing her phone (more essential to most people).
Perhaps they got a taxi to the pre-party and left home in a hurry. If the housemate who put her in a taxi was also drunk, she might not have...
I meant the bearded man who stopped to ask if she was alright when she was on the bench. If she'd seen an intruder and this scared her enough not to enter the house, the next step would be to get the police. The only reason I can think that she might not is if the house had lots of drugs in...
Thanks. There's pubs in the Cottingham Road area, right? If I'd been drunk and without my phone and keys I'd have gone somewhere I thought friends would be - so a student house or another pub I knew well.
Seems weird that the police are searching the Oak Road Pond; I can't think of an...
If she'd seen an intruder, you'd expect her to get the driver who stopped to call the police, or for her to have gone into a local pub to ask them to do the same.
I think she's lost her key.
Seems weird that she wouldn't head back to the party house or another friends' house nearby? When I lived in a student-y area we knew all the neighbours and probably ten other student houses within half a mile that I'd have gone to rather than wait on the streets if I was locked out. Is the...
