I had problems even thinking about where I would hide a body but did have one idea I did not see mentioned in this thread: If this area is anywhere near open ocean, are there any crab pots or lobster traps? A small child would fit in one of these and could be dropped overboard almost anywhere...
I do not have a question for Mr. Klass but I would like to add my thanks for him taking the time to do this. I would also like to give him a big hug for all the kids who won't go missing because of his unselfish actions.:blowkiss: :clap::clap:
Any way of proving they went to school together? Casey is just a few years out of high school and can't remember this guy? If they weren't close enough for her to remember him, why was he visiting her in jail?:waitasec:
Ads are fine and I would be happy to donate if you ever decide to accept donations. Like many of the others, I feel like I am among friends here and would be sorry to lose the connections. I too would love to buy a WS coffee cup, ballcap, or even keychain to help support this site.
Thought I read the original owners were adrift and then stranded on that island. The ship that picked them up would not allow the dog or bird to go with them. IMO, it must have been heartbreaking leaving them behind like that.
Will the husband be charged as well? I understand the woman is responsible for the lies that caused the husband to kill this man but she did not put the gun in his hands (or did she?) or pull the trigger. Firing the gun was a decision he made and he should also be held accountable for his...
Don't you have to prove you don't know the difference between right and wrong to plead insanity?? If he tied her up, put her in a box, then covered her up with clothing covered in deodorant, that tells me he was trying to hide the body. Why hide the body if you don't know right from wrong...
I followed your link and only the first comment pertains to this case. If you look at the dates of the other comments, they are all prior to this and pertain to other articles. Very interesting reading though.

The rest of the story is starting to appear. Sounds like this guy has been working up to this for several years. My condolences to the family.
The Anchorage news just announced the names of the deceased. Two of them are his grandparents but I did not catch the relationship, if any, of the other two. Grandmother was the one who died on the way to hospital.

A little more news and a picture of the kid. Still no identities but rumors are flying. Sitka is small enough that I am sure everyone knows who these people are. Why can't they release the names?
Note: link is to the latest news...
I was wondering the same thing. If he hasn't used his real identity in 25 years he may not have any close relatives or they may have given him up for dead. On the other hand, is there a chance he did have contact with the family and they, for what ever reason, are keeping his secrets?
