Found Deceased CA - Jennifer Evert, 34, Crescent City, 21 May 2013

Agreed, it seems unlikely, unless an accident that the car is in water. Sadly the roads up there are just insane and even with a plane, the tree cover is going to make it very very hard. Being that you have a last known point (the gas station correct?) and you know she was heading North on 101...

Found Deceased CA - Jennifer Evert, 34, Crescent City, 21 May 2013

Hi all. Just coming into the case and still on page 1. First thank you sgt809 for all of the clarified information. It helps a ton. Has anyone done the math and plotted out how far she could have gotten in the vehicle with the amount of gas presumed to have been in the tank? 1/8 of a tank...

CO - Dylan Redwine missing from Vallecito ***SEARCH DISCUSSION ONLY***

Yep. Not all train on bones. Not all train on real scent. It is actually illegal to do so in some states. Very few train on historic remains. Water makes for a whole different component and requires specialized training in order to be reliable. There are just so many variables. what is hard to...

CO - Dylan Redwine missing from Vallecito ***SEARCH DISCUSSION ONLY***

Again I think what they were and possibly weren't trained on may be coming into play here. I think LE has really done their due diligence here and I get the feeling they are a capable group. I think it might just be possible that everyone thinks he is in that lake and it is rubbing off. That...

I get what you're saying, and under certain conditions yes, it might be possible, but in this, I really don't think so.

The dogs that do old remains, are trained for just that. Dogs that haven't been trained for stuff that old would likely not have a clue, especially given water aspects.

Nothing I have ever seen, but it does seem to be getting more and more common sadly, and I have my own theories as to why.

And is that a big ole pond right behind the trees where LE is parked or is that just dirt?

How is it even possible for the area within a mile radius of the PLS not to have been searched by professional teams? Mind you, I am putting no blame on the volunteers here, but I just can't even wrap my head around this.

Again though, how do they know the dog dug it up? They are looking for where the dog found the purse now, so nobody was out there to see the dog dig it up?

How have they determined that the purse was buried? This could be a very important key.

I know they are saying they don't need more personnel, but I hope they aren't turning away qualified EMS. This is going to go on for some time and they're going to need to rest EMS. Hopefully they're just staging them somewhere. State and Fed should be there by now to start helping.
