Me either, although I do remember reading some initial fb posts on the school’s page posted saying all the kids were safe. But certainly they would have known well before 9 pm that that wasn’t the case. MOO
She actually purchased her items before leaving so I don’t know why she didn’t at least mention it. I apologize for leaving the link to this info out of a previous post. I incorrectly thought I had read it in the linked article I was replying to. Here it is...
And let’s not even talk about her being underage and this low life being 28. <modsnip> I hope her family sues walgreens. This absolutely should not have happened.
Right? It seems that they'd rather lie even when telling the truth would be easier. IMO
I read this in People last night, related to where kids were when the shooting started:

I’m not at all surprised by this. And yet $21 million in mental health funding was slashed from the state budget last year.

All I'm seeing is a lot of scapegoating and blame being thrown around at various individuals, when in MY opinion, there are failures all the way around, from the School District police force to the Governor's office and including everyone in between. This response was a mess.
I am grateful...
I swear I think I read somewhere that the radios were like 20 years old or something. I will try to find it. Eta:
Aware of Injuries Inside, Uvalde Police Waited to Confront Gunman
And most of the officers arrived with radios that did not function well inside the school building, according to...
Just heartbreaking. This little hero has almost completely shut down, it seems. I hope there are some experienced trauma therapists available to everyone affected by this senseless violence.
But I wonder what happens in a case like this elementary school that had multiple buildings, with a cafeteria labeled on the other side of campus? Do the teachers take their students to the cafeteria and then go pick them up after lunch to let them in the exterior doors of the buildings?
This is from the Houston Chronicle and behind a paywall, but this quote backs up the teacher's lawyer:
A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation said surveillance video and audio verifies the employee removed the rock holding the door open and closed it.
“She slammed it shut,”...
I wonder where this fits in the timeline. The official one (i.e., the one provided by LE) has the shooter going pretty much straight to rooms 111-112 and staying there. I wonder how much they still don't know about what he did in that school. :sob:
ETA: clarity
I don't know how I missed this article, but I am enjoying the super snarky tone:
"Unsuspecting of any other possible motives for this woman's interest in him beyond his winning personality and super fun lifestyle, Snider ended up confessing to murdering his wife, and Missy got it all on tape."
Has anyone seen whether HE decided he should be in charge or if the responding agencies just didn't take charge? I've read a couple of news items that implied that he thought it was his case or whatever, but they don't come out and say it. If this ends up being about his ego, GRRRRRRRRRRR.
I saw a clarification from Facebook that it was a private message rather than a post. It sounds like he sent a message to his 15 year old "friend" in Germany.

So, according to this Mom also bought the shooter a stuffed animal for his 18th birthday. She doesn't seem to have had any idea who he really was as I suspect that gift was WAY off the mark.
