Agreed! Rulings up the upcoming custody related events (plantiffs request to have defendant submit to psychiatric probe - judge supposed to rule around Sep 20th or so iirc), and of course the next (scheduled) hearing for permanent custody in October (assuming it doesn't get continued again...

To me, it's easier to understand inconsistencies and/or mis-alignments from an innocent man with incompetent counsel trying to do his best in stressful circumstances to put together a custody affidavit... ... than it is to understand inconsistencies and mis-alignments from a guilty killer...

Yeah, I think Theory B is considered a longer shot than Theory A at this point. The other theories there even longer shots. OTOH, I suspect LE can play things pretty close to the vest, if they need to. Regarding SWs: Is there any chance SW's would have been requested and granted without...

Yeah, I agree with that for sure. It was why I was interested to know whether he would have been given a copy of the search warrant for his house in it's entirety (including the affidavit of LE reflecting the timeline BC gave them verbally). Since the answer to that was 'yes', he would have...

From the Theories thread... Theory B (and/or variants of it) have been on the table for a while now. It cannot be categorically excluded by any means, based on the current evidence and knowns.

And my thought is if I'm writing up an affidavit, and I'm guilty, especially if I'm crafty enough to stage a phone call at a certain time in order to establish alibi... I make pretty darn sure (with or without guidance from counsel) to have my affidavits align and reflect similar key milestones...

Maybe these mis-steps on the part of the defense team are intentional, so as to provide grounds for appeal on the basis of incompetent defense counsel. Talk about planning ahead! :)

Exactly, it seems a glaring ommission from the custody affidavit, given the other stuff that's in there. That would make sense, except that he would have had a written copy of the LE warrant in front of him when he wrote the custody affidavit, so he wouldn't have had to remember what he...

Yeah, the sabatoge seems a stretch to me as well (but I'm sure stranger things have happened Sleuthy!) Outside of this explanation though, it still leaves me at a little loss on the inconsistencies (and/or lack of similar highlights) in the 2 timelines. [ That is, if he's guilty ]

As Sleuthy says, maybe he is subconsciously sabotaging himself for committing murder by intentionally issuing mis-statements in his custody affidavit. If we want to accept this premise as an explanation for some things, then we really cannot put any stock or draw any conclusions from anything...

Perhaps you're right: he's not bright enough to think it would be important/helpful to better align those official/legal stories, and yet he is smart/crafty enough to somehow take the time and effort to have a phone call be made from the house to his phone while he is running the errands. [ We...

Yeah, good point, perhaps there are no hard inconsistencies between the two threads/timelines. Certainly though, some things are emphasized more in one and not the other. In the custody affidavit timeline (which presumably was an attempt to respond to the various implications (public and...

This is along the same lines as a general sticking point with me also: the apparent inconsistency between the timeline/noteworthy-events he knew LE to have, and the timeline/noteworthy-events he subsequently documented in the custody affidavit. If guilty, why not do a better job of...

It's a good point regarding the timelines. As I posted before, I'm really puzzled on why the timeline in his custody affidavit didn't align more closely (and corroborate) many of the things in the timeline that LE had put in their warrant. If I'm guilty, that would seem a solid opportunity...

Thanks for the response chauncey - very good points! [I for one believe at least some of the forensics are likely back (yes, yes, I know... forensic testing can take 6 months or more)... I still think at least some of them are back... and even so, still no arrest... ]

Before I get 'jumped' on, yes, I do realize that "detective J.A. Young" and "Jason Young" are 2 different people. Previous post was just a joke. [ :) ]

I thought I read that Jason Young was no longer with his previous employer, but it's a crazy mixed up world if he is now a part of the investigation team for the BC case. Wild and crazy! ;)

Gee, I guess I thought it was a reasonable question (given the recent warrant unsealing, and the recent discussions on the board) whether or not there was anyone whose personal opinion still allowed for the possibility (however small) that BC didn't commit the crime. I didn't necessarily see...
