Not sure about appeal being reason, I interpreted Dadics post re Steenkamps referring to the way media covered the extracts from her book, in particular the intimate revelations. Possibly more directed to the reactions on social media - there was some disgusting comments from OP supporters . . ...

Here is an article with some details about the guy who drew the short straw. It appears the measured with 2 different standards. I read somewhere since then he is doing quite well, but it was definitely a big blow to his potential career...
