Inside my apartment, you can't lock a door from the inside on any of the interior doors as you're exiting like you could the front door...is it common?
although (MOO) I don't think the perp was out of state, I'll entertain it...maybe the perp wasn't totally random in that students in town for the UC Davis game were invited to a party at 1122 King the day before? Or at Sigma Chi? There is a chapter of the frat at both colleges...
I really can't tell if Kaylee is saying "Maddie" or another name (which I won't mention here since he's been cleared). Are we sure that maddie is the one who responded to her?
Via Brian Entin right now on Banfield: Morning of the murders, right before 3 am, a light colored car passed by the house on a video from a neighboring apartment complex half a block away. Requested by police a day or two after the murders. Police said they'd ask the FBI to enhance the video...
Clipped for focus. Thank you for your work on transcribing this!
Something that sticks out to me is the above - her family being so sure she took an uber (probably have info from her email/phone account), but later the police backtracking that and saying it was a private party? Could uber be...
I don't know how to source this, so mods please delete this if this is wrong to post. Trying to find a recording.
Brian Entin was being interviewed by the talk radio station I was listening to on the way home today in California (640 AM John and Ken show). I don't normally listen to them, but...
I don't mean to be insensitive, but I've been cautioned to not drink within 24 hours of surgery to avoid blood thinning. Could that have contributed here, in the way that the rate of incapacitation from blood loss was much quicker than usual? Would toxicology provide any insight on that?
this looks like a tesla model 3 to me. source: have to stare at the back of them all the time here in california!!
edit: or a honda! the logo looks like it could be the Honda "H"
MOO - I'm really not convinced that the gas station footage is related to the crime. The public only knows about it because the clerk shared a photo, and it's definitely not clear if it's an Elantra. I think people are hung up on the fact that the police collected the footage after the tip was...
MOO but at this point, I'm thinking the "target" was not Kaylee, and she was in one of the worst "wrong place at the wrong time" situations imaginable. Visiting her old residence, in bed with her best friend instead of her own...it could be the case that the killer didn't know she was back in...
Could the Elantra be an Uber that dropped off the perp somewhere near the house? Meaning, in video, video caught someone getting out of a car somewhere in the vicinity of the crime? I'm sure LE has looked into this but would Uber give up this info willingly?
Rentals are almost always new cars. I looked at Turo (like airbnb for cars) and there are only a few cars available in Moscow, mostly trucks. No Hyundais
Sigma Chi is extremely close to the King St. house, so it's likely they could have walked. However it's true that in the most recent press release the only drivers mentioned under the "cleared" section are the ones that drove K&M home from the Grub Truck
This article here, and this one here, identify the Hyundai and Kia cars with the exploit that makes them especially vulnerable to theft as those produced from 2015-2019... so it's unlikely that the VOI, if stolen, is included in this batch.
EDIT: What I mean is that it wouldn't be as easy for...
