Fair enough. I meant no arrest yet, of course, and the OP's referenced statement about LE's loss of optimism. Presumably most if not all of the posters here want this solved quickly without reasonable doubt. MOO
Agreed. IMO they aren't releasing any more info because they don't need the advice they would receive. They had a photo and a voice and it yielded nothing so where do you go from there? JMO
Threads back when they got the SW for RL I figured LE was out of steam so they went back to the...
Where were the social workers for this young abused teen transitioning from home schooling to public school?
Teachers are not social workers and are not meant to assume those responsibilities.
ET was failed on many levels by many institutions.
Come home, Elizabeth. Get home...
Interesting thought. Where I live we report unattended backpacks. If we "see something, we say something".
Do we know if ET or TC picked it up? Was there another note in it? Or was ET leaving it there purposely?
I just don't think TC is either remarkably intelligent or prepared. He picks up ET and she leaves her backpack behind. He leaves a note which alerts his wife immediately. He dyes his hair as if that is a surprise move.
Who's really looking for them? WS? It is easy to get lost in this...
Yet, something also "diversionary" was an element in the note. So where might he have said he was taking "Beth"? NOw, perhaps JC's lightbulb was lit. Not even an opinion, just my current thinking.
Shame is TC's family's explanation for why he ran away. I can reason that.
It doesn't explain why he kidnapped or even just took ET with him unless, IMO, he felt he was helping her escape something as well.
Was her motive also shame? Or was it fear? Or was it something else? Or was she fully...
Interesting perspective. I agree that it is helpful to view TC as an ordinary person first. He probably thinks he is a good man. Perhaps, though this is unclear, ET thinks he is as well. I have wondered if TC believes he is rescuing ET. That may be how he is reconciling his criminal...
Are they enjoying this? Are they a happy couple?
Can she get away? Will she?
Just asking the wind.....
I can't imagine that this is any fun for her.
Liked the ChicK-Fil-A suggestion about posting her missing poster in all locations. Walmart posts missing photos in my neighborhood...
Did ET willingly runaway with him? Was she misled?
Does Elizabeth want to be with him now?
Can she get to a safe place?
She must miss her family, especially the youngest.
ET get home soon.
IMO TC is as smart as a 12 year old. JMO Had to add.
Insightful. You were the minors and peers. The troubling reaction about ET's situation are the adults. The school apparently was ill-prepared to handle what transpired between a teacher and this student. There were telling signs and dubious history of TC's behavior and the response...
TC can run and hide for weeks; though there is little desirable about living on the run. All the inspirational poetry and motivational memes on SM aren't going to get either one of them through this psychologically. JMO That makes me believe that ET does not have any opportunity to call home...
I hear ya. Nothing practical about this. Yet she does need to know that she is meant to be home. IMO this will be resolved soon enough. I certainly hope very soon. Life on the run cannot be very much fun. Two days into the "adventure", TC looked frantic to me and much older even with dyed...
IMO this is a much more complicated relationship than armchair psychiatrists can explain or even renowned research psychologists, for that matter.
I always felt that the strategy ought to be constant imploring "Elizabeth" to call home. I would have liked to see billboards with that statement...
IMO Boston does have a problem. Someone is preying on intoxicated young men exiting sporting events from the Garden. JMO MOO
So sorry for the Kelleher family who were so close with their son, Michael. I hope I am wrong abut Michael and that he shows up soon. Yet, I do not think I am wrong...
