That's a good point. Seems a bit of a roundabout way of doing things.. the police find him, report him found to the military, wait for them to change his status to AWOL, then arrest him.
The civilian police would be obliged to hand him over to the military police as far as I'm aware since going AWOL is punishable by the military police.
I would agree with that and if you look at the map of the CCTV locations in BSE (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/319850/response/802518/attach/5/Bury%20St%20Edmunds.pdf) you can see that there many different possible routes one can take in and around or out of the town without being...
As far I as can tell the white three-storey buildings beyond the staircase which neighbours Greggs are jewellry shops below and offices above. The only building I'm not sure about is the one directly on the corner where Corrie walks behind where the bikeracks are. Might be part of Greggs?
In BSE there's only 2 or 3 clubs open till 3am and a couple of takeaway shops. All the pubs close at or around midnight unless someone was having a cheeky lock-in. If he was waiting for someone to finish work then it would be most likely they worked at one of the clubs, close at 3am.. clean-up...
Grindr isn't exactly pinpoint-accurate on location when you're using it on 3G/4G (but it can be if you're using it on wi-fi), it literally lists the people that are closest to you and can tell you if another user is, say, 20ft away. It doesn't get anymore specific than that, could be 20ft in any...
I also think this is the most likely scenario of what happened.
The idea of a pre-planned AWOL with the whole family in on it seems too fanciful and I put the family's misstatements and contradictions about the timings of the events purely down to the complexity of the case, and having been...
Regarding the Missing Persons charity, they're all cases passed over by the police for nationwide publicity. I don't think the police have any hard evidence to suggest the missing persons on there vanished due to foul play, and so they're kind of assumed to be runaways or elopers. I think due to...
RE: Smole1985
People on the Facebook group have been donating money to Suffolk Lowland Search & Rescue who I think would be wise to start sweeping Thetford Forest, although it is a huge undertaking searching a 47,000 acre forest but several bodies have been discovered there before.
Also just to add that Corrie's car was a two-seater convertible, with seats that don't recline, it would be like trying to fall asleep on an aeroplane and maybe the temptation to just drive home while still drunk would be too great.
I'm really interested in Thetford Forest being the next location for a search.
As someone from the local area, the idea of having a dead body on your hands and taking it to Thetford Forest to dump it sounds a bit obvious, almost simplistically so, but:
1) It is only a 20-30 minute drive from...
