Here where I live that is how it is done. Guns in the home are required to be locked up with a safety 'On' on all the firearms. If something happens the parents are held responsible. And the law comes down on them. jmo

Seems strange to me that no pictures have showed up of the front. That is where Mr. D. was found, and where the unlocked front door was. Why wouldn't there be pictures of the crime scene--if in fact it was the crime scene. But, they did say he was found in the garage didn't they. jmo

Good for your granddaughter. I am glad she had no residual fear. When my dog was bitten we rushed her to the emergency vet. He gave her an antibiotic and a benadryl. So, if anyone I know gets a bite I will immediately give them a benadryl. lol jmo

I think there could be the possibility to that Shirley was hit in the head and while the perp was doing his damage to Russ she died from the blow. The perp then had to dispose of her body not wanting to do the same to Shirley as he did to Russ. Just a new thought.

I thought that when she was first found and Sills was asked those questions he declined to answer them. Maybe he came out later, but initially he wouldn't say. I may be wrong but that is how I remember it. jmo
