It certainly could be completely innocent. It is just worded awkwardly if it is though; you would think if the poster was refering to the difficulty of the find - for instance- he/she would have said 'the torment of my search', rather than find? What could be tormenting about the 'find', if the...

Oh no.. Sorry Makara... I wasn't correcting you! Just correcting myself from a previous post where i had written canoeist :blushing:. I agree, poor guy, whoever it was that made the discovery :(

You are right, grannie. However, what others are arguing is the value in arresting a suspect without enough evidence to show guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in court.

Oops, sorry... kayaker. The person who discovered her. Completely based on my own interpretation of the linked post...nothing more.

Thanks WI, I haven't really left... I have been reading along here and there. Just been quite busy and also haven't felt the need to comment, as you all say what i would have, before i have the chance to post! :rocker: I enjoy your posts too, WI :)

Thanks Hawkins, You are correct that during the trial, the media are limited in their reporting of proceedings; however, i can guarantee that there will be enough info reported previous to the trial to keep us all sated for a little while ;). The basics of COD, the basic M.O and the main...

Just to elaborate on the great answers already given by other posters, until a suspect is arrested, they are not required by law to attend a police station for questioning (unless they choose to)... simple as that. The police would not want to make an arrest for the purpose of questioning...

ABSOLUTELY! crimestoppers will look into every bit of information they receive (within reason... they are hardly going to look into a claim that aliens did it or something crazy like that, lol). The police rely a great deal on information supplied by the public.

I responded too :blushing:. It was fairly late last night though, and Hawkins had already replied (unbeknownst to me at the time i replied) and did a great job of it :) - just didn't want you to think i ignored you :seeya:

Hi MH, Sorry for being a slow-mo...I thought i had better answer this now rather than read the rest of the thread (seeing you have mentioned wanting to know 3 times, lol), so i have no idea if this has been addressed in detail by someone else. Anyway, AFAIK (and i will look into it tonight)...

Sorry if my posts end up quoting things from hours ago, rather than things in response to my last (more recent) post... I am slowly catching up and will get there soon :blushing: Thanks Mountainhigh :) it has mostly been little snippets of info, such as the circumstances surrounding the last...

Sorry for the delayed reply guys, i have 3 littlies, so i am only on here intermittently. Hi Linette and Paradox. Thanks for making me feel welcome :) As a degree, criminology is basically a multidisciplinary field;there are about 150 various occupational opportunities, so i won't list them...

Hi Kimster, Well, there are daily court lists, which do list arrestees (for arrest court) ---> http://www.courts.qld.gov.au/daily-law-lists HTH :) I did intend to have a lot of input into this thread in order to help with understanding some aspects of the process (i am a criminologist...

Hi everyone, I am new to this great site and cannot believe i didn't know it existed until now! Anyway, I am still trying to catch up, so don't know if this has already been mentioned, but just a bit of personal opinion RE: GBC's behaviour prior to the discovery of Allison's body... many of...
