I wondered if perhaps they had higher expectations of the announcement . But your theory makes more sense. Shoot I found it chilling when he said that, and I'm several states away. Those poor people.
I'm still so struck by all the potential subtext from that OC. A friend thinks it means that...
I've wondered if LE released just snippets of the video because we might be able to hear one or both of the girls reacting on the recording. It would be so disturbing to hear their voices.
I agree...to me, there's so much more to this PC than just the words conveyed. LE, to me, appeared to definitely communicate subtext. I feel the mention of The Shack has deeper meaning...perhaps something said to communicate to the killer that they know more about him than he might think. The...
Thank you! What about what looks like a pic of a red truck? It's a stretch, but maybe LE suspects a particular person and that's a pic of their car. Just a way to noodle into the killer's thoughts and make him nervous.
At the end of the press conference, the officer minimized the video and closed window. The officer's desktop was then revealed, and there were lots of files on the desktop.
A part of me wonders if LE may have intentionally placed something on that desktop as a message to the killer.
Can...
Totally agree. No one I know at work knows about this case. And my friends only know about it if I mention it. There is zero coverage, and I only saw something in the news a couple of weeks ago because I subscribed to a Google news alert for the Delphi case. Unless you know, you wouldn't know...
It blows me away.
In another article, I read that BC jurists were crying. Now I know why. If I had to be in a room with that guy's attitude for a week, I would have been in tears too.
Shame on him. Sadly, I know a lot of guys like him, and id he's like them, he'll likely never understand...
The part that floors me is that he judged her by what she wore (hello 1950s!) and took to his house. Even if she had intended to become involved with BC, this jurist missed the point of the drugging and nonconsensual sex. I'm embarrassed for him.
The above is just my opinion.
I always have a hard time with how we protect jurists' privacy. It makes me cringe to know they have to face the defendant head on, and it's even worse when they have to defend their voting rationale publicly. Really, I think jurists can do these things--hear the trial and vote, and even justify...
Sorry I haven't followed this thread in case from the beginning. How many women testified at the hearing last week? Did all 49 women testify?
The above is just my opinion.
Agreed about the postmark. Years ago, it used to take at least three days for letters to arrive at their destinations. Now, geez, sometimes people get letters the next day. So in 1969, it's not inconceivable--it's almost probable--that the letter would have been postmarked after...
I agree with you. It's better when you have physical evidence.
It's easy to not speak up for all kinds of reasons. Fear of your own safety and the safety of your family. Fear of backlash and reputation damage. Fear of being blackballed. Fear of being tried by the court of public opinion and...
I would want to learn a lot more about that. For instance do we know how many days those 53 calls spanned? Someone calling somebody 53 times in a short time frame seems excessive.
And I could see either side of the case using that information to prove their argument.
The above is just my opinion.
...or amped. I know someone who can't sleep for hours after taking Benadryl. When I take it, it makes me welcome sleep more easily, but I'm still fully aware and can stay awake if I choose to.
The above is just my opinion.
