FL - 17-yo Teen Trayvon Martin Shot to Death by Neighborhood Watch Captain #5

That kind of bothers me too. If a person is shot in the chest, wouldn't they fall backward and land on their back? Hopefully at some point we will be able to see autopsy reports that will clear that up. IMO him being on his stomach could indicate that he was running away when he was shot. :moo:

FL - 17-yo Teen Trayvon Martin Shot to Death by Neighborhood Watch Captain #5

No it does not. Neighborhood watch was started as a way for people to work together to be aware of what was and what was not something that should be reported to police. They are to watch and report only.. not follow... not shoot. They are not trained or background checked. A watch captain...

Thank you Annalia. You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm not African American either and neither is the friend I was speaking with this afternoon. She does, however, have 4 children. Two of them are adopted African American. They are all in their early teens. She says that she...

FL - 17-yo Boy Shot to Death by Neighborhood Watch Captain #2

This just beeped across my TV. Sanford City Commissioners just voted for a finding of "no confidence" in the police chief resulting from this case. The City Manager is considering asking for the chief's resignation...

Does DS2 have any friends that live in the area where the hummer was found? That would eliminate the need for "somebody" to have a ride away from the hummer. I've always felt like the hummer was parked undamaged with her purse in it so that it would be found and then returned to DS2 as the...

Dear 1986.... Since your account at twitter is locked, why don't you join us so you can explain how you figure you are so brilliant. Don't be afraid... We don't bite... But we can tell when you lie. You like a challenge, right? :seeya:

Wow :what: it looks like if you need a lawyer in Florida it's just buyer beware. Hopefully anyone looking for a lawyer will do their homework so they don't end up with a circus clown who can't even follow a Judge's orders as he is supposed to. I wonder if they would have found the same way if...

Did anyone see this about the Orlando Sentinel's Casey update account on Twitter being hacked? I wonder what the hacker tweeted during that time. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/caylee-anthony/os-casey-anthony-twitter-account-20120222,0,1906144.story

I didn't realize when we were first discussing this back in the early threads that he had 4 whole hours after that ping and 1 hour before it. Kind of blows that "timeline" his lawyer spoke of all to pieces. That's lots of time for whatever happened at his house and lots of time for him to drop...

I just took a peek at the policies for social media up in the stickie of this forum. It says we can link, paraphrase and discuss so I guess we can't copy and paste the tweets or write them out verbatim. Never read the desert ladie's tweets while watching HLN... it makes your family think...

That is interesting. I wonder if they are abandoning or if they are asked to leave if they won't go along with KC being there. You really can get lost looking through these tweets... one leads to another which leads to another and on and on and on.

Sheaffer Says: Judge Belvin Perry will have to step down due to term limits

Judge Perry can still be a judge. He just can't be "chief" judge. The chief judge is elected by his peers (other judges) and is in charge of the court house(s) in his district, obtaining funding, assigning duties to the other judges, etc...

I learned something new about Twitter too. You don't have to "follow" these KC people. When you find someone you want to keep track of, go to their profile and look at the little person icon next to the follow button. Click the down arrow and then click add to list. You can give your list a...

JA's son has been charged in Seminole County which has a different SA so at least that won't get into it. I do think the race will get nasty for other reasons though. JA is running because he thinks he can make things better with our local judicial system. I hope he still gets the chance to...

The breathalyzer equipment in Seminole and Orange County has been called into question as being faulty and it's been in our local news quite a bit. Here is a link and there are many more if you google it. http://www.halelawfl.com/CriminalDefense/DrivingUndertheInfluenceDUI/DUIBreathTest.aspx...

They announced the town where they were going and said they had a tip to look in the area. When they got there they weren't allowed to search. LE in that town was going to have to get a search warrant (I don't know if they did or if they ever got to do any sort of search on that tip). In our...
