In trying to understand the origins of Eric Thomas, I uncovered the following anagrams: Ethics Roam Shirt Cameo Me a ostrich (not a llama?) Erotic Hams... or Erotic Sham? Stoic harem Moist reach Cries motha Hot as crime Hoist Cream I wonder if the name Eric Thomas carries a secret message...

Re: Tostee's multiple DUIs we hadn't heard about... Isn't each case judged on its own merit? Priors don't form part of the case, I thought...? Correct me please. I have a very limited legal understanding, but didn't think charges can stack up and accrue against future charges. This to me...

Extraordinary! Must be a made up source, surely?! Great quote.

Yes, as Snoods said, was discussed in recent thread. I think handcuffs is a good possibility.

Interesting. From my knowledge, a building supervisor can't give access - they don't have access to individual apartments. Or does this vary from building to building? But it's good to know it was the known crime scene from the start. Presumably Tostee (or anyone he knows) did not return...

Swing to me simply means one 'lashed out' but didn't connect. I think she could swing a figurine.

Thanks, Amee. I thought a reporter may have been tweeting by now.... but just realised Queensland doesn't do daylight savings. Makes sense! I thought it had been almost an hour into his hearing already. But it's yet to start. ;-)

Is there any way of tracking updates? Or it just a matter of wait and see later this morning?

I think maybe it needed parentheses... ie. OP thinks GT 'will get an acquittal (or minimal jail time if not enough $$ for good defense). ? :-)

Wow, I haven't seen this image previously... but... you have enlightened me -- the sound of sliding door in the alleged transcript may not be the balcony door at all?!!!!? My interest levels are now piquing. :-)

Agree, excellent point. Plus, balconies frequently have a light on them. If he didn't have time to affect the lighting before he left the building it will be known whether the balcony light was on or off. It is my opinion he put her legs over the railing and left her backside perched on the...

BBm and also... "The struggle took place about 2-3 metres away from the rear glass doors that lead to my balcony. My front door was about 10m away, and has an automatic closer and lock which I would have had to flick then hold open while trying to force her out. This would have been much more...

Bbm - agree! She did seem to be moving around afterwards according to the transcript. But she also seemed to be causing a drunken sort of ruckus prior to insisting he untie her too. So perhaps she was always free to move and only had knotted or tight items still attached to individual limb...

I wonder when GT untied her; if she was serious that she needed him to do it; how long she had been tied and whether the tie restricted her movement in any important ways according to the transcript. For example, could she walk around, pick up rocks, throw them, move free(ish)ly?

Yes! Agree, well said. I'm still not sure Tostee ever said it, though, or if media reported it for other reasons (audio transcription). But IF Tostee said it, it's odd... it's another means of minimisation/avoidance/distraction IMO. To focus away from the object to the person allegedly weilding it.

When she was allegedly told to 'let it go', could her hand have released a body part of his (throat, balls) then her limp arm/wrist drops to the carpet and her bangles make a metallic clanging sound when that happens? According to the alleged transcript. Does that scenario seem possible?
