That's not what the picture showed with the dirt and corn removed.

Also, yes its off the road but it's on an unplanted lane where cars and farm equipment go thru to get access...
Where there are only a handful of black cars in town, process of elimination. He was probably still driving that same car the day he was arrested.
Add in the confession and you have him in jail on a 5 million bond.
I don't think there is a county in Iowa that isn't somewhat familiar with this case. They had search parties, TV spots, signs all looking for her. I don't think they can move it out of state but that still wouldn't find juror's unfamiliar. I am in Nebraska 3 hours away and heard about it...
She was 50 meters from the road, based on the pic where the corn was cut out. There is a grass driving path to get to other fields, she was 20 meters from the road, but only 10-12 feet from the grass driving path. I don't have a link to the picture but you can see both sides of the cut out...
Good point.
Another thing to note is this is small town, average grade size grades 7-12 is 42. More than likely they knew each other in some form.
I can't see him just randomly hitting her with an object and putting her in the trunk. There would have been blood on the road, people could...
A theory that keeps going around in my head is this: And I know the confession is a lie.
She threatens to call the cops, he knocks the phone out of her hand and breaks it. Offers to pay or replace and she gets in the car in the expectation of getting her phone replaced. It would explain the why...
The normal is put them in a steel pen and separate off the calves by letting the mom's go. Horse and rope isn't a normal for Iowa. Plus being milking cows, the cows are used to being milked and lead very easily. A bucket of corn if needed and they will follow you anywhere.
The bags of can's are common in Iowa because of the recycling program. Each can is worth a nickel. Given the proximity to I-80, you can see the house from street view. Who knows what you would find in the cans, do they walk I-80 and pick up cans? Who knows.
If you zoom out on this map, where the road on the north east side of brooklyn makes the 2 curves. The next road you can turn on is v21, his house is the house closest to I-80 on the map, the body was found on the other side of I-80 (south) and west a couple miles. Not sure if he abducted...
It's anyone's guess on what the truth actually is, Based on the map I am leaning towards he got her in the car either by force or talking her into it. Can't figure out the phone unless he knocked it out of her hand and broke it. I don't see him blacking out and driving past his own house...
To continue on the map observations, he picked her up drove past his house as his road was the next turn and then crossed over I-80 and then at some corner noticed her headphones at an intersection and then put her in a corn field to the west.
Doubt he drove past his own house.
If you zoom out until you see the city of Brooklyn, you can see the bend where she was abducted and his house, roughly 1 mile to the east and 4 miles south of the bend in the road. It isn't the closest route to his house, F29 is, but maybe you have to drive by the police station to use F29.
I don't think there is a conspiracy going on, I just want to see more evidence before I make up my mind about this case. It's just too neat and tidy for me.
Why didn't the guy run, he had a month to come up with an excuse to leave the area.
Maybe he thought he would get away with it?
Who...
