ID - 4 University of Idaho Students Murdered - Moscow # 41 *ARREST*

Legally speaking, it means he crossed a threshold with the intent to commit a crime. He didn’t have to break windows, locks, etc.

This is definitely a strong possibility. It’s also a strong possibility that something involving them did happen, hence LE’s requests for information re the context of their evening.

I’m not proud of this, but during the college years, my friends and I hung with a particular fraternity. There was a small contingent of that fraternity that had gotten into some drug selling and, at times, “townies” (mid 20’s), would visit the house, hang, transact, etc. It was the worst kept...

True for K and M, but I was wondering about X and E, too. If they returned to the house around 1:45, then what? Straight to bed or were they with anyone else/have anyone else over.

And then I’m so curious what they did after they arrived home. Going to sleep is, of course, an option, but wondering if other guests joined them at the house.

I’m with you (see my comment directly above yours). If some coward was lying in wait I’m with you on this (see my comment directly above yours). If some coward was lying in wait for all 6 occupants to be asleep, he was taking an enormous risk entering the house only a few minutes after K and...

One (of many things that confuses me about this case) is the timeline, specifically the timing around the known calls to the ex-bf at 2:52. Clearly, K and M were wide awake at that point. Elantra in area between 2:45 and 3:15. Is the suggestion that the murders happened in the earlier part of...

I agree. They’re not offering a reward because it’s not necessary to do so.

    One of the surviving roommates.

I just don’t find the late time unusual. We used to call it being on college time. After a night out, my roommates and I would often come down late morning/early afternoon after recovering, watching tv in rooms, sleeping in. In fact, I think it would have been unusable if they had been up at...

X bedroom directly above one of the ground floor bedrooms (all part of the original house before the addition).

Are you suggesting he killed X and E (2nd floor) then went to 3rd floor just for the heck of it?

Perhaps, but I would argue someone who cared a lot about the son wouldn’t kill his mother. The aftermath of the killing seems terribly sloppy. It’s hard for me to believe the killer would find a warm spot in his heart all of the sudden and try to tidy up out of kindness.

Still thinking she came home to something after her night out. Perhaps illicit activity going on in the house. Someone got angry that they got caught and reacted. Had there been any confirmation that the 13 yr old was the only one in the house? Friend(s) over?

This has frenzied, angry amateur(s) written all over it. I wonder if victim came home and discovered/walked into son/friends of son doing something illicit. That could help explain LE’s interest in younger son and statement that he did not leave the house for the night. Anger ensued.
