Does anyone know how long after April 4th was the little boy given that interview? Because he sounded really coached, and I'm wondering who was around him at the time, and how much time they needed to get him ready to lie?
BTW, this stream is hosted by our local reporter and legal expert, and...
Since this medical examiner is independent, I'm kind of thinking when the actual Hennepin ME that certified the death takes the stand, the state might lay all this out for them, and ask "with the evidence before you NOW, would you change your cause of death?"
If that worked, it would be a very...

Somebody mentioned upthread that they had been rejected as foster parents twice? Does anyone have the details on that? Because it makes me think the POUNCED when she saw an acquaintance from her days in care needed a place for her kids, and went directly to her, thinking to skirt the social...
You’re right. She got life, +20, +20. He said the 20s would be served consecutively AFTER life. Joseph got 30 +20, +something I didn’t hear, but judge said his +s would be concurrent with his 30.
I am impressed. Based on the various counts of abuse, and finding Joseph guilty of some, but not guilty of others, it makes me believe that they looked at each count carefully.
I also loved that they heard several not guilty responses until the foreman got to that first GUILTY...
That's the question, isnt it? If the new juror goes in there with no decision in mind, they have to spend a lot of time getting them up to speed on what has already been discussed. But I don't think they would bother to re-vote on each count, because that's what starting over would entail. Human...
I have always wondered what goes on when a deliberation has to start over. I'm sure they take a vote, to gauge the new person's thinking. But I wonder if there's a lot of pressure on the new person to fit themselves into the group's thinking (saying groupthink is too strong, but it's where my...
Ms Young had me in tears during several parts of her closing. She connected the dot on things I hadn’t even considered, and listened to all the evidence. That was a standing ovation-level argument.
I was able to catch a little of the sister's cross exam. After being shown photos, she made little crying noises as the prosecutor walked away, and she reached for some tissues. But she looked over at the jury before she did that, and she held the tissues up in front of her eyes for a minute or...
The judge disallowed the micrograph photos, for a different reason. I remember learning during the Anthony trial that experts have to stick to the opinion they give when they turn over their work product, unless something happens to come up in trial that would change their opinion, and then they...
Does anybody know why the cop was asked if Tessa said she had ever poured boiling water on her daughter, or made her eat feces? Is this a story that Jennifer was putting around when talking about the foster placement?
I'm just now starting the youtube for today's testimony. The state has rested? If so, their final two witnesses were knock it out of the park. I don't know if there could be any coming back from what was revealed in the autopsy, and the therapist's explanation of how children behave after abuse...
I can't listen to the stream this afternoon, so I'll try to catch up on yesterday's testimony. When did the text messages start coming in? Morning or afternoon?
