Lin Wood is saying the CBS Special used "phony experts" and that the death was caused by the garotte.
He is so dramatic about everything; he defies logic. Interview via Skype with TMZ:

Was there ever any explanation as to why someone else looked after her dog? That seems so unusual. I have read some theories/innuendos but were they ever asked about this directly? Thanks.
Having just finished Part II of the CBS special (and still assimilating), I can now see that too. And the interviews Burke R. did (then and now) and distance from the events, which if Dr. Phil was truly being objective, he would have called him on, are intense - particularly put together.
But...
That was one of the lines that was not clear even enhanced... I was wondering whether it was somewhat rhetorical ... like... "What did you do" (to get us in this situation )? But the voice inflection would matter. Would have to listen again.
I think it was possible there was material in there they were wary of releasing or became wary of (perhaps due to Lin Wood but would rather not "credit" him with that) but that might have explained certain things that are being questioned, but they decided to pull back. It is also possible that...
Thank you, that is helpful to understand, but terrible. (I imagine the public pressure and hit on their image would have eventually gotten to them re: interviews, no? Although four months is already pretty long...) What a "giveaway" - both situations, and so detrimental to developing a true...
Is it easy for an attorney to get that? They submit this request to a judge? I wonder how quickly this was done. With a murder investigation, that seems curious.
Lin Wood keeps stating in his replies on Twitter how in 1999 it was declared Burke was not a suspect. He keeps saying it over and over again, as if things cannot change, and leaving out this later history. Do you know where this article was from? Thanks.
Wood also (not sure if anyone has...
Thanks for sharing that about the message board post. He should at least own up to it. Thanks for your attempts to bring this to peoples attention. I wonder if you could post on his FB page?
It IS really bad, and, although he is not a journalist, this should be disclosed (the connection of the lawyer). It was in some of the print press earlier (prior to airing), right? I guess mainstream media does not really cover (take seriously?) Dr. Phil so he gets away with these things without...
If someone did do something, would they be that bold as to say it in that way? Or, at this point, does he (or would a person) just feel basically bullet-proof (also having grown up with John R and Patsy R who promoted this kind of attitude, if he was involved, of course)?
I had thought that they (PR and JR) wrote the ransom note together but another commenter here saying that John R. would not have let the "ridiculous" (I believe was the word) ransom note go forward made me think about that. I am sure there have been theories proposed about this but then at what...
I only started understanding this case more recently but I read somewhere (and I am not sure where now) that Fleet White said he did not do any interviews because he thought one day he would be called to testify in court and did not want to jeopardize that, but then that day did not come.
ps. sorry missed that before. The date stamp says Jan 8 1997 so presumably they had talked to him about it somewhat. That is (part of) what I was trying to clarify.
I just watched the video and it says there that he was secretly filmed while at a friends house and parents were at the police station. The date you noted was Jan. 1997. And I had heard before he was interviewed 13 days after the murder but was not clear on how that came about.
I am not sure...
I suspect they (JR and PR) felt they were protecting their son, as has been said before, if that was the scenario, or themselves, and probably did not anticipate that this case would become what it has and linger for this long. They probably knew it was risky, but, assuming they were involved...
I guess that is why a longer series might be better because it would have time to build groundswell support, for word of mouth to spread like with Making a Murderer, more and more people watching on Netflix over time because it was available all the time and people were talking about it. This...
Through The Guardian story on web sleuthing, I clicked through to the JonBenet Reddit page and there is a discussion of Dr. Phil's "impromptu" show (https://www.reddit.com/r/JonBenet/comments/52xtxr/impromptu_dr_phil_pt_3/?st=it6b7imu&sh=7a93fab5). This comment, and I do think people who watch...
