    I think defensive wounds are wounds on the victim that the the attacker has left. Defensive wounds don’t necessarily mean injury to the attacker. It just means the victim attempted to block some of the blows.

    Why would the friend use one of the victims phones? Or could it have been one of the two survivors’ phones? Why not use his/her own phone?
