OK OK, Veronica Butler 27 & Jilian Kelley 39, Vehicle Abandoned, Texas County, 30 Mar 2024

The lack of searches does seem abnormal. Even if they don't want volunteers helping out for some reason, why are LE not out pounding the pavement themselves, as it were, searching for these two women (likely for their remains)? Several people in the thread have made a point of saying "property...

OK OK, Veronica Butler 27 & Jilian Kelley 39, Vehicle Abandoned, Texas County, 30 Mar 2024

I mentioned it earlier in the thread. Per their website, they do have to have permission from LE to get involved, but unless LE actually knows where the women are and are keeping it under wraps for some reason, I think they absolutely should allow Equusearch to assist in the search. With the...

Like I said, charges aren't always necessary. I'm not in OK but in my state and other states where I have friends, kids can be removed from a home where abuse or neglect is suspected without actual charges being filed, especially if it's deemed an emergency. It happens all the time, and is...

State DCF (or whatever the agency is called) might remove the kids for any of the usual reasons the state might remove kids from their environment, particularly if they have reason to believe the kids are unsafe. If whoever has custody is suspected of [something], for example. ETA, charges might...

I'm sure the poster meant DCF (state Department of Children & Families), which is called by different names in different jurisdictions. Nobody thinks Homeland Security is involved.

If I may be a little pedantic for a second, I don't think we can really say we know the children are safe. We only know that they aren't missing. Depending on who they are with (do we have that info confirmed?)...

Perp's vehicle may have been blocking the road. The driver (which of the two was driving?) may have been incapacitated by gunshot or by other means. Maybe the kids were present (please God let's hope not) and the women didn't want to hurt or traumatize them. Maybe the perp(s) disabled the car in...

Re: Perp(s) reaching in through shattered window and cutting him or herself, that's unlikely due to the safety glass car windows are made of nowadays. Not saying it couldn't possibly have happened, but any late-model vehicle would have that type of glass, that breaks up into little pebbles...

On their website, they encourage family of missing persons to contact them directly, but LE has to give consent for them to get involved. But these two women are missing and you would think, at least I would think, LE would appreciate their help as a reputable volunteer organization, especially...

That reminds me, whatever happened to Texas EquuSearch? This seems like the exact kind of situation that would be ideal for them to get involved in.

Bail reduction? Isn't he clearly a flight risk?

I'm so glad this has been resolved relatively quickly. So many sweet babies never receive justice, and/or their murderers employ tactics to drag out the legal processes as long as possible to avoid justice. They have the right to do so, but at least this time the killer will pay.

I started watching late, but at 12:15 they broke for lunch (at least I assume it's for an hour or so of lunch, I don't think they're only doing this in half-day increments). They showed a video of the detective interrogating her but I couldn't hear it hardly at all. It was a video of a video of...

Holy crap. We didn't know about that photo before, did we? And who would have taken such a photo, much less left it to be discovered?

BBM. What a bizarre relationship. To live with someone for four years and have a child with them and yet have this creepy lets-not-talk-about-it attitude towards the baby who went missing before. Also, "when the time is right"? To tell what you know about your missing child? Pretty sure that...

Wow, three and a half years later. I wonder if the boyfriend made a plea (he was called a suspect at the time).

If I recall correctly, they threw the poor baby in a dumpster. I think police tried searching landfills with no luck.

It looks like the article has been updated. Now it says: So only one new charge, nothing about omission or about a deadly weapon. But at least that one charge still carries the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence.

"Only 10 percent of the child’s bones were scattered at the home." Huh?
