4 years later, what do we think of the case / verdict now?

I still believe the jury ignored a lot. Not knowing COD is no longer a reason to acquit. Murder trials are successfully prosecuted without a body these days. The jury got it wrong then and it's still wrong even though there are those who believe the prosecution messed it up.

Privilege Waived (new book by Dominic Casey)

I followed the case through every type of venue possible, including here on WS. Dominic Casey does say in the book that KC changed Caylee from swimsuit to clothes after she was murdered. He was also bound by a confidentiality agreement with KC, separately with JB, and another one with George...

Found Deceased KY - Gabriella Doolin, 7, Allen Co., 14 Nov 2015 #2 *Pled Not Guilty, rec'd Life Sentence*

Perhaps someone could clarify something for me: Obviously there would be DNA from the child. Did LE collect DNA from TM? I live in KY, but haven't seen anything about there being a match made. If so, when was DNA collected from suspect? If there is a match, he is definitely cooked. I think he...

I dont think it was necessarily 25 min. Believe the 25 min is from the time they noticed her gone and reported it. I think it was probably a bit longer. I think little Gabbi knew him too, thus no yelling for help. The town is really small, he knows the area very very well.

Don't think LE has said they have matched DNA yet, but in response to his claims, nobody said he wasn't at the game. Only somebody familiar with the family and the area could lure her away, rape and kill her that quickly. Im sure LE has physical evidence or they wouldn't have arrested him. The...

TX - Veterinarian under investigation for killing cat with arrow.

It took me a few days to actually read the story and see the photo. I was right. It made me sick. I signed the petition to have her license revoked. IMO, this girl is a narcissist and I'd bet that the parents are too. What parent watches adult daughter practice with the bow and arrow, and stand...

Just now reading today's thread. What is this info supposed to mean? He's a ? I'm sure threatening a corrections officer is unusual behavior for an inmate.

JR has NO defense IMO. He is the one who said HR allowed And participated in the abuse so I must look at that suspiciously. I do believe HR may have overlooked some things JR did just so that she herself would not be abused by this monster. Very common for a female to allow the male to abuse the...

I agree. Blows my mind at these "professional witnesses." How can that psychologist look at the photos of Teghan and then try to attribute what JR did to a traumatic unloving childhood? Wonder how he sleeps at night.

This whole thing with the psychologist is beyond ridiculous. Personally, I don't care if JR was abused as a child. That alone should be why he would know that torturing a child is wrong. In my mind there is no doubt he knew exactly what he was doing and that it was illegal. I don't think his...

I agree 1000% with you kali. Many time I have tried to get in the heads of those who hurt, abuse, torture children and babies. At the same time I have tried to imagine being a baby or child and enduring such abuse. I cannot do any of those things. As much as I can imagine, it must be multiplied...

Better late than never. Huffpost.com had an article about Teghan. Well it was really about JR being considered for the DP.

I was looking up bio dad to see where he is in the prison system and the info I came across had a release date of 12/16/2013. Does anybody know if he did in fact get released? If so, I'd say he wasn't allowed to attend the trial by his parole officer. Too risky.

I also agree. Teghan went through this. She didn't get to close her eyes and ears to it. Even if it were broadcast live, we would still have the option of watching or not watching. Teghan had no options. The public needs to know how horrifying child abuse can be. If it helps one person get...

ITA. I wonder how many days had he known he would be keeping Teghan. That's how long he had to plan for his abuse. It's sickening to think that he must have been anticipating HR departure with glee as that would have been the signal that "the time had arrived." The whole thing was premeditated...

YES!! So he could re-live it whenever he wanted. Like a serial killer revisiting the body dump sites over and over again. Truly sickening.

I don't know for certain, but I believe the DA wanted to take this to trial simply because otherwise the DP would be off the table. No guarantee he would be sentenced to it but at least with a trial this is a possibility.
