A look at child deaths in Gaston County when DHHS has had contact with the family/child. As in previous articles, they mention that there will be a Child Fatality Task Force to investigate the circumstances surrounding Jordyn's death. They also detail the findings from the CFTF which...
State lawmaker claims social services failed Jordyn, calls for independent investigation:

Torbett was formerly a Gaston County Commissioner. I don't recall his asking for independent...
Yes, it's the newspaper of record for Cleveland County, the county adjoining Gaston County. That paper and the Gaston Gazette share stories and reporters sometimes.
Yes, it's my understanding, too, that other members of the family have lived there as well. But we don't know for certain when/if McCullen may have lived there previously. We only know about the time period he lived there with Jordyn's mom and the two children. And even that is assuming the...
We may not be able to attribute all those calls to incidents involving McCullen. McCullen's sister said in a newspaper article that the couple moved into the house in October of last year, after the youngest child was born. So some or all the calls before then may have had nothing to do with him.
Assuming she had no knowledge or involvement in Jordyn's death, I do feel tremendously sorry for her. You can make a lot of terrible decisions and still love your child with all your heart. As I understand it, she has no family anywhere nearby and little to no financial resources, so it may have...
I'm not sure how long the couple has actually lived at that address. The BF's sister says they moved into the house in October of last year.

You're welcome! I finally found a link, but I don't know how reliable the reporter's source is:

I've probably just missed along the way that it was an actual stain that LE saw, but I thought it was said only that they saw "evidence" on the rug/carpet in plain sight. If that's the case, and we think outside the box, it could have been an object of some sort. Maybe a companion piece or match...
From what I can tell, it looks like there are two forms of accessory to murder in MA: accessory before the fact to murder and accessory after the fact to murder. I think possibly the judge simply stumbled over the phrase "accessory after the fact to murder." It's still accessory to murder...
Yes, there are permanent restraining orders in some situations. In non-permanent restraining order situations, the initial restraining order can be extended upon application if warranted, or a new restraining order entered.
It's been bugging me why RB would spill to the friend the way she did. What you propose makes perfect sense. I am still coming up blank as to why bio dad would not immediately go to LE after her "confession" to him that she'd killed his daughter. Maybe she has something on him and threatened to...
I think that actually may have come from what the bio dad, in one of his first interviews, told a reporter that RB had told him, rather than from any LE sources. He may not have gotten it quite right or RB may have told it differently to LE after she was picked up.
Totally agree with that attorney. Hopefully LE has or can develop evidence other than RB's account, as I mentioned above. No way as a juror I could convict someone of even jaywalking based on RB's word alone, much less murder.
