Unfortunately, the healthcare system in the US is waaaay too f'ed up for this to be an option that I foresee being available within my lifetime.

LOL, burned! Too bad there's no psychic medium/client privilege, eh Ruben?

GUILTY FL - Janiya Thomas, 11, Bradenton, Jan 2015

Janiya is beautiful but her eyes look so sad. No 11 year old child should have sad eyes. Another Florida case where the so-called parent refuses to talk and the child hasn't been seen in weeks.

I decided a long time ago I never want to understand "why". I don't think my soul could take it. It's like when Nietzsche cautions against looking too long into the abyss.

My mom used to say, "Mommy's ears are full now."

I really thought he would never be found. Thankful for the tipster and for the LE who didn't give up the search.

WA WA - Leah Lund (found), 16, & newborn Hazel, Everett, 10 Sept 2015

I don't. I hope she enters treatment for her drug addiction, gets clean, stays that way, and remains a productive member of society for the next 70 years. 16 is way too young to throw in the towel.

I think it's telling that NO ONE has suggested these "parents" might have accidentally made Duane's nose bleed while doing CPR.

I am NOT defending these pieces of garbage, but if the baby had an overwhelming infection (sepsis), he could have developed a condition called disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). DIC can cause spontaneous bleeding. "DIC is most commonly observed in severe sepsis and septic shock...

It is, honestly, a choice that I make daily. Thank you for pointing out the parallel in the Lord's Prayer - sometimes it's easy to feel alone. I know the road Leah needs to walk down, and it isn't a pleasant one. I hope her baby is found.

Glad that Leah is physically okay. I hope she can help them find baby Hazel. I wasn't going to share, but I am a recovering heroin addict and my heart breaks for Leah and for her baby. I cannot imagine being 16 and dealing with the things she's had to deal with.

Perhaps she's been enjoying prison cookin' a little too much and now she can't face ~*~*~her MAN~*~*~ because her tattoo is all stretched out and nasty. I'm pretty much over these "parents" who know where their kids are but refuse to talk.

Not all meth users get the urge to pick their skin. Regarding track marks, you can IV meth like you can heroin, and it will mess your arms up terribly. It is generally bad news once you start administering meth intravenously.

Found Deceased CA - Krystie Stuart, 29, Apple Valley, 3 March 2015

At 5'9" (or 5'8" per later posters) and 107 lbs she should be pretty easy to spot if she's out and about. That is REALLY thin.

She could EASILY pass for an adult, so I'm inclined to agree that this is a possibility. I wouldn't give her a second glance if I saw her in public with an infant, and I definitely wouldn't think of the "missing 16-year-old" either.

Heroin detox sucks but is not life-threatening. The only substances that can kill people during withdrawal are benzodiazepines and alcohol.

Because this is the United States in 2015, not Germany in 1940?

About Prader-Willi syndrome: "Prader-Willi syndrome is a complex genetic condition that affects many parts of the body. In infancy, this condition is characterized by weak muscle tone (hypotonia), feeding difficulties, poor growth, and delayed development. Beginning in childhood, affected...
