    BSL - Evidentiary Hearing, Friday, Aug 17, 2012, 10:00 A.M.

Bless her heart! The worst part is that mace will not win against a gun, or a knife, for that matter. BSL knew that, which is why he had both with him. This solidifies by belief in concealed carry! She wouldn't have even had to take it out of her bag. Oh my heart is broken for Mickey and her...

http://www.theadvertiser.com/article/20120815/NEWS01/208150328/Witness-testify-Lavergne-case-Friday I believe the attorney that mentioned those two things was referring to previous cases that called for pre-trial testimony. He was just giving examples for other times he's seen hearings like this.

Look at the still shot above... Legs do not appear to have anything restraining them. Thought they would have, but it doesn't look that way.

Im with you in staying home today and leaving the seats open for family and close friends. Most of the time I'm overly empathetic. I find myself wanting to believe guilty people are innocent, etc. and feel sorry for them because our system is so broken, but this guy... Ugh! The bounce in his...

I do not remember who or when, but within the last couple of weeks someone posted that they had spotted a pair of light grey jeans in the coulee near the bridge by the Cajun Dome on Souvineer Gate. I don't remember if they had heard back from LE and they were unrelated, or if they called them in...

Right! Chances are the deer was was headed across the street, so the deer's velocity and the vehicle's velocity are in different directions. The deer is also lower, like a pedestrian or a child on a bike. It's not weight so much, as speed of both objects, height, and direction of travel. Mickey...

Good thing we trained him first! Too bad this wasn't identified beforehand!

If she were stopped, impact from the truck going 15-20mph would have more than likely (assuming truck does not break until impact), would have put Mickey on the hood of the truck. Increase speed of the truck or Mickey and she would have been on the windshield or possibly over the truck. Bumping...

I have serious doubts about BSL's mental issues are stemming from his military service. I think the way we treat our veterans is deplorable, considering what they give up for our country. I do think they need to be a little more careful as to whom they select to be in the service. I'm sure, at...

I've been to Whiskey Bay (I always refer to it as Shreburne) many many many times, and have never been where the bike was dumped. I was also completely shocked to learn how slow and shallow it appeared to be where you took pictures of the fisherman with his granddaughter. Ive always assumed...

Ok. But, not really. Lafayette hasn't always had the college town feel, say like Austin, (City pop of 790,000 with 67% under 40 years of age. Austin was voted "America's No.1 College Town" by the Travel Channe) but revitalizing downtown, UL growth, etc it feels that way now, although small. The...

I still tend to lean towards Mickey's abductor being somewhat local, but... http://dotw-xfer01.dot.state.nc.us/gisdot/DOTBikeMaps/Urban%20Maps/bikeped_maps_raleigh-full.pdf I'm not sure if that link will work, but it is the "urban bike/pedestrian" map for Raleigh. It wasn't hard to find...

The tower dumps would be good to use if you already knew the phone numbers you were looking for. As for sifting through hoping a phone is pinged, or whatever, good luck. So many people, ages 6-100 have cell phones now. I'm not convinced either that the REDFLEX cameras aren't continuously...

Please tell me you still have that picture, just in case. Also, please don't post it here. :) I cannot even imagine the confusion that may cause. Turn it in as a tip again. You never know. If LE releases it, please, post it here again and again.

The "traffic cameras" are not the same cameras as the speeding cameras. The traffic ones are really high in the corners of intersections, generally above the street lights. The speeding cameras, are low, and on their own pole. They have a box around them and a huge strobe light that you can see...
